Ristorante Al Fortino In Nago-torbole

I was in this bar last summer (2024) in August, and for me, who often cycle but on level ground, it was relief after a long effort (the road to Torbole is very steep and very long), and an almost heavenly vision. The bar terrace, visible immediately, is large, clean and offers a magnificent view of Lake Garda from above, with the rays of sunlight reflected in the surface of the water and filtered by the white canvases that protect the refreshment tables. We had an aperitif with chips and toast, we didn't try the bistro dishes, but we can assure you that the staff is very helpful and friendly and the view is truly priceless. Normal prices, I would dare say cheap for the tourist area. We'll be back.

We would have loved to have dined here but we were half board at our hotel. However, we stopped off to celebrate our last walk up the hill from Torbole. We ordered 2 coffees and the warm chocolate cake with ice cream. The coffees arrived quite quickly but we had to wait for the cake. When it arrived we realised it had been made to order. The fondant oozed out of the centre and was delicious along with the generous portion of ice cream. Well worth the wait. The interior is so romantic.

Even though we didn't have a reservation, we were allowed to sit at a small table (the restaurant was actually fully booked and we only had a short time slot). The starter, 1x Caprese salad, was very good and was easily enough for 2 people. 1x cheese with caponata and 1x spaghetti Aglio Olio were also sufficient and very good. We can highly recommend this restaurant.
