The Best Restaurant in Gorizia I've been to this grill restaurant a couple of times in Gorizia, and I must say it was a real pleasure! The meat is exquisite, cooked to perfection, and has a unique flavor. The waiters were incredibly hospitable and friendly, making me feel right at home. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, with the grill in the center of the room a real treat. P.S. The waiter is truly exceptional!

I was invited for a wedding anniversary and we all had a really great time. The service was professional and very courteous, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend it.

We had dinner for 4 on December 11, 2025. First compliments to the dining room staff for their welcome and service. Then the room with the central fireplace where the meat is cooked on the grill makes the difference. We had 2 Angus carpaccios that were exceptional for their taste and quality of the raw materials. 1 pumpkin flan. 1 Florentine steak for 1.2, maybe even more. 2 fillet steaks. 3 side dishes. 3 bottles of Lis Neris cabernet Sauvignon. 1 sparkling water. 6 grappas. 2 coffees. 2 desserts for €352. In the end, another 3 grappas were offered. In my opinion, the price was excellent because everything needs to be evaluated. For those who consider it high, there's only McDonald's. You have to try hard to make the taste and quality of the products understood with a review. Applause and congratulations. Keep going like this on your path. Those who appreciate your commitment won't abandon you. Congratulations to everyone.

The staff are extremely friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming, around the warm fireplace, where delicious meats are expertly cooked. The appetizers and first courses are also delicious, especially pumpkin, which is a mainstay on the menu in autumn. There's also a nice changing table available for those with babies.

Al Fogolar is a fantastic spot! The meat was simply amazing—cooked to perfection and full of flavor. And the tartare? Honestly the best I’ve ever had, so fresh and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, but the real highlight is the owner—friendly, passionate, and truly makes you feel like a special guest. It’s one of those places where great food and great people come together. A must-visit if you love good food and good vibes!

Let's start by saying that both the tartare and the rib steak were truly excellent. Now let's consider the rest. The fact that they don't have beer, not even bottled, is a legitimate choice, but, as it was for me, it can be a bit disconcerting. When I ordered, I asked for a bottle of red wine, but it didn't arrive with the tartare. When they took the dish away, I didn't have time to ask, and only when the rib steak arrived did I mention it (I would have liked to sip wine throughout the meal, not just at the end). When I got the bill, I found it high (higher than I expected). In the car, I checked the receipt again and found the tartare had been priced at €75 instead of €18. I must emphasize that they promptly and apologetically refunded me the difference. In conclusion, the food is excellent, but given the quality and price range they're aiming for, two setbacks are unacceptable.
