My experience was excellent high quality for both food and service I highly recommend it

The care is visible and savored in every course. I appreciated the originality of the dishes, which play with contrast and balance. In particular, the sliced beef with melted caciocavallo cheese, black pork, and cruschi peppers is a must. The artisanal salted caramel truffle is superb, even the one with a vin cotto core. The forbidden herb liqueur, served with a citrus essence spray, was the perfect finishing touch to this wonderful experience, well worth repeating. Thanks to Donato and Michele (chef and owner) for their hospitality, professionalism, and passion.

We had lunch at Al Duomo restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, the service was quick and excellent, and the atmosphere was clean and tidy. I'd recommend the orecchiette with sausage bites and zucchini cream and the legendary Peperone crusco. The grilled meat was also delicious. We'll definitely return if we have the opportunity again.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The dinner was excellent, the pizza was very light, the toppings were tasty, and you even got the crust. Recommended.

My husband and I were there on 06/25/25, very kind staff, very good and well-kept food, very clean and well-kept place.. we will definitely be back.. the right price.. Restaurant near the cathedral, wonderful, really worth it.

A gastronomic jewel in the heart of Acerenza. During our stay in Acerenza, we had the pleasure of dining at Al Duomo, a restaurant and pizzeria that won us over from the first moment. The staff was extremely kind and polite, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The place is cared for down to the smallest details, clean and tidy, a sign of great attention and professionalism. The cuisine was a real revelation: we tasted delicious, light and tasty fritters, and a simply excellent pizza, fragrant and well-filled. All served with perfect timing and a sincere smile. A truly special moment was the meeting with the pizza chef, a friendly and passionate person, who also honored us with an artisanal bread made by him: a simple but precious gesture, which tells the authenticity of this place. Il Duomo deserves much more than 5 stars, for the hospitality, the quality of the food and the authentic atmosphere it manages to convey. An unmissable stop in Acerenza, which we enthusiastically recommend to everyone.

English: We were finally guests of Basilicata Alpaca and we chose to stay for lunch in Acerenza, a small and quiet village with a beautiful view of the local hills. We did not book or inquire beforehand since the stop was not planned, but right in front of the cathedral we saw the small sign of the restaurant "Al Duomo" still closed at that time, and we asked if it was possible to book. Having agreed, we entered at 1 pm sharp and found a welcoming, very clean, airy environment in line with the village without modern minimalist upheavals. There were 5 of us and we ordered five-star dishes presented in a perfect way. All the staff and the chef were indescribably kind and skilled. The prices were absolutely reasonable in relation to the very high quality of the dishes, which were regional cuisine but anything but obvious in the combinations. I recommend them hands down and we will definitely be back
