05/01/2025: Territorial gastronomic presence, beyond the Michelin stars.

02/01/2025: Michelin-starred and award-winning restaurant by chef Federico Valicenti; very particular dishes, partly belonging to the Lucanian tradition but revisited and renewed with new flavor notes, respecting the local peasant and pastoral culture. The cooking of the meat (truly fabulous porchettato lamb) and of the second courses in general is particularly notable and exquisite; the first courses are more "ordinary", although they are also very good and innovative. Tasty appetizers and local cold cuts. The dessert "tiramisud" is also excellent. The chef is very courteous, helpful and present in describing dishes and flavours, making the experience pleasant and homemade. The restaurant-style restaurant (including bathrooms) is however very dated, and the service (apart from the chef) is quite anonymous. Finally, the bill is that of a high-level restaurant; small portions but, in the context of the tasting menu, you will not remain hungry (starters, two first courses, two second courses, house wine, water, dessert with encore and coffee = €50 per person). With a complete restyling of the place and a more "present" and professional waiter I would have given it 5 stars.
