Excellent: pike and polenta and capunsei. A bit touristy but good quality-price restaurant

Historic restaurant in the center of Mantua, we ate in the charming outdoor pergola. Excellent quality/price ratio, generous portions, very nice and friendly waitress! We will be back to try the second courses. Flavia&Francesco

A little hidden from the busy central street, it seems to offer a place even when all the other restaurants are full. Well made dishes, very good Agnoli (Tortellini..) in broth, very good pumpkin tortelli, good donkey stew although according to my taste a more intense spicing would not have gone amiss as well as a slightly thicker sauce. Even the polenta (not as hard here as in the Lombardy mountains) would have appreciated a pinch more salt. The Elvezia cake (or Helvetia..) is very good and also the Sbrisolona which if you come from outside Mantua you have to eat it 😊 Very nice environment inside (rooms from a former convent), quiet on the terrace in front of the restaurant under a vine pergola very nice. The curtain placed to "protect" the pergola is much less beautiful, from a sense of dirt hanging over the head, I would leave the screw exposed, what could possibly fall, all nature in rustic dishes 😊 Finally, very kind staff. Recommended and for me to go back too in winter and eat inside. For two, 1 starter, 1 first course, 1 second course, 2 desserts, water and cover charge 56 Euros

I absolutely recommend good dishes with a good price-quality ratio and very attentive service, especially for those with small children in tow. We will return next time with great pleasure.

A Mantova in gita di gruppo; il programma prevedeva il pranzo al Ristorante ai Garibaldini: molto caratteristico e piacevole l'ingresso sotto un bel pergolato. Semplice, ordinata, molto pulita e accogliente la location. Presente, cordiale, attento e disponibile il personale di sala. Molto accomodanti e gentili i proprietari. Piatti ben preparati e veramente gustosi, realizzati con materie prime di qualità; porzioni più che soddisfacenti. Prezzo ok. Promossi con il massimo dei voti.
