Two of us went for lunch. The place is welcoming and well-kept, and the food is truly excellent. Perhaps the only downside was the service, which was a bit distracted, but that can happen with a busy place on a Sunday. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience
We found this excellent trattoria thanks to GMaps and previous reviews. Four of us dined there, and we all had the same rating: excellent! Very professional and courteous service, a beautiful and spacious atmosphere, and superb cuisine. The dishes were expertly prepared, made with top-quality ingredients, and served in generous portions. I hope everyone enjoys the same experience we did. Wonderful trattoria, an old-fashioned place just steps from the center of Mantua. The flavor of the risotto, and the portion, truly compliments. I'll definitely be back. Thank you.

An excellent appetizer of Culatello with Mantuan mustard was served, followed by Mantuan tortelli with ragù, which were truly delicious, and I then finished with a Sbrisolona accompanied by zabaglione.

Characteristic place, very good typical Mantuan cuisine, very attentive staff even to the details, the owner after we left the place, noticed that there was a bit of lees left in the bottle of wine, which I honestly hadn't noticed, he called us back to give us our money back, very honest person. I've always found this restaurant charming but not pretentious. The main dining room is in an internal patio, with a pergola overhead, a row of columns to the side, and a floor that doesn't quite fit, but I love it. The food is simple and good, and the lady who served us this last time was just as good: down-to-earth, friendly, kind, and capable. Finally, the bill: simply fair, in fact, even a little cheaper than expected!
