I give 5 stars on trust, despite a small criticism.
Nice environment, elegant and airy and not 5 like most restaurants in the historic centres. Efficient staff, above all calm (they don't rush you and you can chat calmly between one course and another)
Excellent typical Mantuan appetizer. The macaroni with pastisada and the loose Lambrusco are excellent. Unfortunately the pumpkin tortelli (excellent) were seasoned with a sausage sauce that was a little too salty.
But being the only flaw we will definitely be back.

Historic place full of charm.
All the staff have a care, kindness and availability for the customer that is difficult to find, you feel at home in an authentically welcoming place.
The traditional Mantuan food is genuine, well prepared with adequate portions.
I'm just sorry I discovered it on my last day in this beautiful city.
However, I hope to return to Mantua and the Garibaldini.

Trattoria in the center of Mantua offering genuine traditional food.
It's a place from the past, with professional and fast service. Generous portions, the starters would be enough to satisfy even those who are not on a diet.
The pumpkin tortelli, the Helvetia cake and the Lambrusco are recommended.
Fair price.

Nice welcoming place in which to try traditional Mantuan food. Generous portions, good and at the right price. The service is a bit slow as soon as the place fills up, but the owner is always attentive and manages the situation with care.

Abbiamo pranzato all’aperto con un buonissimo risotto e pollo allo spiedo! Cibo squisito e personale cortese. Consigliato a chi ama il cibo semplice e genuino. Qualità - prezzo ottima.
