Ristobar Campeggio Obelisco In Trieste

It's a very steep and narrow way up to the camp, so the biggest campervans will probably not get up to this camp. The camp and the sanitary facilities are... Rustic and straight forward to its tasks. We stayed one night in November, the services are limited during winter season.

We stayed two nights here which was the perfect location for visiting Trieste. We arrived in the middle with no advance booking and we were made to feel very welcome. We had the perfect spot not too far from a very clean and warm shower block! There appear to be a lot of permanent vans here and it seems busy but the site have some positive rules and regulations to ensure you have a good stay, including detailed instructions on how to get to the centre of Trieste by bus. We thought the price for two nights in the middle of November of €51 was good value as we had electric hook up, water and good amenities. There is a restaurant but we didn’t try it. If travelling in a van and want to explore Trieste we’d recommend this place!

Excellent old-fashioned family campsite. Warm welcome. Clean, hot showers and toilets. Good restaurant. No complaints.

We stayed for three nights. The campsite is exactly as described, and we would gladly return. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant at the entrance serves delicious fish dishes. We had one of the four top pitches right at the top of the site with a fantastic view of Trieste. The campsite is a bit dated, but this didn't bother us. The 80s atmosphere is definitely present. The last 150 meters to the campsite are steep, but not a problem. The access road to the four top pitches is challenging for vehicles wider than 2.25 meters.

According to other reviews, the spot didn't seem to be good. I can't confirm that. Upon arrival, a very friendly lady immediately came to our car and explained where we could park: right next to the reception and across from the restaurant and restrooms. Super clean and renovated. The view of Trieste confirmed it. It was a pleasant stay. The historic tram provides easy access to Trieste.

We were lucky enough to get one of the most beautiful spots at the top with a fantastic view of the sea and Trieste! Thanks to Milena's intensive efforts, 5 stars for her! Otherwise, there are many permanent campers and many not-so-nice spots. The restaurant has delicious fish dishes and very friendly service. Everyone was very helpful and very nice! We'd love to come back.

Beautiful campsite with a great view of Trieste from the entrance. Unfortunately, the restroom facilities were far too sparse and without toilet paper. The instructions on where to pitch your tent were a bit overly dramatic. In the end, there was only one other tent on the entire site.

We were passing through and stayed at this campsite for one night. Everything was fine for that. It's small and tucked away among the trees. Some guests seem to have been there for ages, by the looks of it. Everything has a somewhat older charm. Standing in front of the campsite, you have a very nice view of Trieste! The best way to get into the city is by bus or tram. The connections are great, and you can quickly walk to the stop (about 5 minutes). The staff is very friendly, explains everything, and is happy to help. The restroom facilities are fine. The gate to the campsite is closed between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. You can borrow a key for a deposit to access the campsite at any time.

Nice campsite above Trieste with good bus and tram connections into the city. The tram is much more exciting than the bus... There are a lot of long-term campers at the campsite. And there's only one major road that winds through the hillside in a "roundabout." Even at the end of September, a reservation is worthwhile. The access to the campsite is steep and narrow. Anything over 7 meters will probably be strenuous. The restroom facilities are fine. We had a wonderful dinner in the attached restaurant. The owners are friendly and helpful. The campsite gate is closed from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM! Two people in a campervan (without electricity) costs €27.

Good location! Middle range camping with low prices. The spaces are a bit tide and limited. The restaurant is absolutely grate. It’s run from a mum and son who are very great and welcoming. We are recommending the oyster from Norway and the seafood pasta❤️
