An old campsite that certainly doesn't deserve 5 stars for its amenities (be careful, always bring your own toilet paper to the restroom), but 10 stars for the view and friendliness. We were very satisfied and here

Affordable, old-fashioned camping: €21 for two in a tent.
The bus runs all day and connects you to the train station. You can also take your bikes on the tram.
The campsite's restaurant is also very good and inexpensive, and the sea view is magnificent.

This camp site has a perfect location with a very nice view to Trieste city and port, close to the tram and bus stops (6 minutes by walk from the camp). It was so convenient to leave the car at the camp and buy a daily ticket for 3.6 Eur valid till midnight of the day of purchase, if you plan a sightseeing day.
You can also go hiking by the see on the high cliffs, amazing views and down the cliff are amazing beaches.
The camp located in a pine forest, and has a very friendly atmosphere. The staff were very friendly smiling and helpful (especially Gabrielle). If you want electricity in your tent plan on bringing a looooooong cable (there is electricity outlet in the bathrooms and on some other spots).
It was raining during our stay, but fortunately our tent was dry from inside. Very few sheltered spots are available and it was booked in prior, would be good if you plan in advance checking forecast and reserve one spot there maybe.
There is a restaurant at the camp, we didn’t try it. You can also do laundry. And the price for night is really so cheap compared to what you get.
There is a super market Conad in the village Opicina close to the camp

We just left the Obelisco campsite, where we spent a week, and I already miss it! It was a wonderful holiday in an enchanting city with so much to do and see, both naturalistic and historical. The campsite is on a hill, making the mornings and evenings very cool. I understand why many locals retreat here from May to October. The view of Trieste is stunning! The campsite is excellent, incredibly welcoming, and the staff is top-notch: kind, friendly, and extremely helpful, as are all the holidaymakers and residents. We felt right at home. Despite a very busy week, the bathrooms were always clean, and there was peace and quiet at all hours. Near the campsite, there's both the old tram stop—an experience you should try at least once—and the bus stop to the city center and Opicina, which is also a 5-minute walk away. The campsite has a good restaurant with friendly staff, where I ate the best tagliata I've ever eaten. We'll definitely be back because Trieste and its people have won us over. ❤️

Very friendly staff. We got a 5-star spot with breathtaking views of Trieste. The restrooms are old but functional. The campsite restaurant deserves special mention; excellent food at very fair prices.

Small, shaded campsite. Contrary to what the outraged woman with her X3 said, who didn't stay there because it's too horrible and takes pictures of things outside the campsite, it's clean and functional.
Okay, some tents/caravans are old, since there's a lot of year-round camping. So what?
€50 for 5 people, tent + car, is very reasonable.
The only downside: gravel on the ground, not earth for the tents, and the lack of any cooking facilities (as is often the case in Slovenia and nearby Croatia).
The bus stop is right next door, and you can be in the center in 15 minutes (€1.45 per ticket). Return lines even late.
Great!

Very cool place. Super friendly and helpful staff. Parking is a bit inconvenient if you decide to leave your car outside (in which case, parking is free). Prices are certainly very low for being so close to Trieste, but the spaces are very tight, and especially in high season, pitches have to be shared.
