My wife and I recently spent almost four weeks visiting towns in Puglia, Basilicata, and finally Campania. Along the way, we ate at many excellent restaurants, but our best dining experience was in Naples at La Riviera di Parthenope. Our experience the first night was so good that we returned the following night, our last in Italy, to dine again. The food–from antipasti through to desserts–displayed a wonderful creativity and unique preparation. The interior of the restaurant is cozy and informal. The owner, Giancarlo, who speaks fluent English and has worked in restaurants all over Europe, warmly welcomes his guests. His wife is the chef. As other reviewers have advised, for dessert, don’t miss the lemon sponge cake or the intensely lemony sorbet served in a frozen lemon. Thank you, Giancarlo, for such a good memory.

We loved this restaurant that we came twice in a row. It's a family run restaurant, multi generational, with the wife and mom running the kitchen, and husband in the front. The service was exceptional, very knowledgeable and friendly. He translated every dish on the menu for us. We had octopus salad (very refreshing), mixed fried seafood (so fresh), and spaghetti con vongele (the best dish on the menu). We really enjoyed the experience

Simply wonderful, a truly family-friendly atmosphere. The food, the people, the historical site – if you go there, ask about the history of the place. Pasta like I've never had before. We went for a romantic date and hit the jackpot. Thank you 🤩

Last night, I went to dinner with my wife at this restaurant at her recommendation, as she had already been there with my daughter. Giancarlo is very kind and helpful, and we had a wonderful meal. The traditional dishes, revisited, are well-prepared, and very tasty, using fresh, quality ingredients. The chocolate caprese was spectacular. Keep up the good work! Your dishes show your love for your work, which far sets you apart from other, more well-known, nearby restaurants. Highly recommended!

In a hyper-tourist Naples, it's now difficult to find authentic offerings that revisit tradition, updating it honestly and without presumption. It's definitely worth a visit. Probably more than one.

A great family run restaurant! They truly have a passion for their food and it shows. The calamari appetizer is one of the best I’ve ever had. Great selection of some local wines. Beautiful family and great food.

A very atmospheric Neapolitan family restaurant. The owner explains the dishes while his wife cooks. The food is delicious. A nice touch at the end is a glass of lemon liqueur. Dinner for two with an appetizer, dessert, a carafe of wine, and water - 60€ Highly recommended

08/12/2025: The photo appears to have been taken from a ferry departing from Naples, Italy, heading for the island of Ischia. The island of Ischia is a volcanic island located at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples, about 30 kilometers from the city of Naples. It is known for its mild climate, picturesque scenery and numerous thermal mineral springs, making it a popular health and relaxation destination. There are regular ferry services from Naples to Ischia, with the journey usually taking about 50 minutes. The island is the largest of the Phlegraean Islands and is known as the "Green Island" due to its lush vegetation. 11/17/2025 — The island was known to the Greeks as Pithecusa (probably meaning “island of monkeys”) and to the Romans as Aenaria.
