Ripa 12 In Roma

The real food in a transformed Trastevere. When every restaurant tries to sell just four tourists, this lovely place keeps the high standards and every dish served is carefully designed. Nothing looks out of control and the taste was well balanced. Congratulations to the owners and the staff! A real gem!

I go there often, knowing the managers for about 25 years now. The quality is very high and the raw products are excellent. Family run, courteous and worthy of reward. The level is medium/high with a good wine list

I celebrated my graduation here, the family that runs this place immediately proved to be extremely available to me, satisfying every request and helping me with their experience in organizing and choosing the menu. It was a beautiful evening spent in an elegant but sober venue and eating fresh fish in various excellent preparations. If you pass through Trastevere and are a fish lover, I can only recommend you stop by Ripa 12

Excellent cuisine, varied and unusual menu, very warm welcome, and just what is needed outside the most touristy streets of Trastevere. Excellent combination.

Para un almuerzo o cena con amigos, pareja o Negocios, atendido por sus dueños, calidad, servicio y precio inigualable. La Burrata con Alici, la mozzarella di Búfala con Prosciutto, y el Sea Bass con gengibre y naranja , simplemente delicioso, una carta súper abundante, hacen de este restaurante uno de mis preferidos en Roma.

By far our favorite restaurant in Trastevere. We loved the food, but we loved the family, who own and operate this wonderful restaurant, more. Kind, welcoming, full of humor and love. We ate here as many times as our consciences allowed, given that we wanted to explore and experience as much of the city as possible. And although we did eat elsewhere many times, they made it impossible for us to settle anywhere we felt wasn't authentic. The food is sublime. We stuck to the traditionals but have no doubt that the rest of the menu is just as delicious. A word to travelers who don't have time to do research on Italian customs. Waiting a little longer, especially for pasta dishes, is normal due to the fact that they prepare it fresh. In Italy you have to ask for the check, they don't bring it to you automatically (there is no "table turnover" culture). As to prices, and those who may have thought they paid too much, I don't really know what to say. Ripa was no more expensive than any other restaurant in Trastevere. We love you, Ripa. Thank you.

This was, by far, our favorite restaurant in Rome. We ended up eating here for 3 different meals over 4 days! The food was to die for. We had the roasted artichoke, amatriciana, carbonara, ox tail rigatoni and ravioli with burrata and spinach. All exquisite and perfectly seasoned. It is completely family run - father is the owner/ manager, brother and mother are the chefs, and two sisters are servers. Even with how good the food was, the people were why we kept coming back. Warm, personable , helpful and super attentive. Grazie Mille, Ripa 12 amicos!

Excellent food! Family owned restaurant! Emma and her family could not have been nicer and more accommodating! Food was so good we went back a second night (and only in Rome for 2 nights so that’s saying something! If you find yourself in Rome, take a taxi! They bars in the Trastevere area of Rome!
