Quiet place, very, very good traditional local cuisine. Super service

A pleasant return to a familiar place. An excellent lunch with excellent cuisine and superb service. The trip was worth it, and...we'll definitely see you again. Thanks to the friendly and professional waitress.

The location is beautiful, surrounded by greenery. We had the pumpkin gnocchi, which were very good. The beef tagliata wasn't the best, the meat was very pale. The staff was very friendly. The wait was a bit long. The prices were a bit steep. We returned for dinner after six years, and I must say we were truly satisfied with the food this time. The tagliata was delicious, as were the two appetizers. The dessert was spectacular, which is why I added a star to my previous review. It's still a bit pricey, but worth it. In winter, there are only a few seats inside, so I recommend booking. This time, we had two appetizers (one with lard and one with mixed cheeses), a tagliata with potatoes, a coffee, a dessert, a glass of wine, and a water, and we paid €64.20.

I wonder why they're not in the Michelin Guide yet. It's the perfect restaurant to enjoy excellent food in the Barcis setting. Delicious ingredients, impeccable dishes, an intimate location, and attentive, ever-present service. It was the best start to 2026.

If you want to step into a fairytale while enjoying local delicacies, come here. The refuge is easily accessible and has its own parking lot. It's located just above the road that runs north along the lake, opposite the village of Barcis, in the middle of the woods. The location is so charming that gnomes seem to pop out at any moment. The restaurant is beautiful and clean, cozy because it doesn't have many tables, very intimate. The menu features several local dishes, and the service is impeccable, as is the welcome. We chose the tasting of cave cheeses served with a special local bread, Pan di casa, and very good honey. Perfectly homemade pumpkin gnocchi, fried cheese, and veal cheek with garlic puree. Everything was delicious, even the house wine. In addition to the desserts on the menu, we were offered a delicious spoon dessert made with zabaglione and pandoro: a discovery! The prices are understandably higher than average, justified by the excellent cuisine and fresh, locally sourced ingredients, but also by the likely cost of keeping the refuge open, given the number of tables. And I really hope it stays open for a long time to come! I can only thank you for the delicious lunch.

I came here almost by chance because I'm celiac and I stopped in the area, and it was a true culinary experience! A delicious place, very kind owners. Warm bread covered in a cloth, traditional dishes cooked with love. I say experience because it's a little place I'll definitely keep in my heart and will visit again soon. Thank you! Giulia

A wonderful place that I'm very fond of, nestled in the greenery of Barcis. They serve traditional, refined, and delicious dishes from the valley!

Today, for the first time, a couple of friends took us to this place for lunch. It was beautiful, welcoming, and very well-prepared. The location was very charming, and the food was equally as good; we ate very well. I gave it 4 stars because the prices are a bit high.
