Without a doubt, the best restaurant I had the pleasure of visiting during my trip to Italy (Venezia, Dolomites, Barcis). The chef truly honors the local ingredients, treating them with the utmost care and passion, all while embracing the slow food philosophy. The result? Absolutely exceptional dishes! We indulged in some incredible local cheeses, savored ribs that were absolutely divine, and enjoyed the best pasta of our entire trip. One of the most unexpected delights was a dish featuring fried tripe (which sounded unusual at first), but it was absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend giving it a try!
I can't wait to return the next time I'm in the area. Keep up the amazing work!

Fuimos a Rifugio Valatta dos veces. Primera vez. Mesa al aire libre bajo la sombrilla, buen tiempo, cielo azul. Bebidas pedidas, entrante y plato principal. Excelente entrada. Una selección de salami en rodajas, jamón curado y queso. Y luego. El cielo se volvió negro en cinco minutos y la lluvia y el granizo comenzaron a venir desde arriba como una cascada. Barcis está solo en las estribaciones de los Dolomitas, pero aparentemente el clima puede ser tan traicionero como en lo alto de las montañas. Todos huimos dentro del restaurante, que por supuesto no estaba diseñado para todas esas personas de pie en el pasillo. (Las mesas interiores también estaban completamente reservadas). Bueno, pagamos por el arranque y las bebidas y esperamos a que el clima baje un poco y corramos hacia nuestro auto. Pero esto fue realmente insatisfactorio. Así que fuimos por segunda vez unos días después. Todo estaba bien. Buen tiempo en todo. Mesa tranquila al aire libre. Excelente servicio. Deliciosa comida. Bill estaba un poco empinado, pero a quién le importa después de un excelente almuerzo. Una merecida calificación de cinco puntos. Oh, casi me olvido, amplio aparcamiento gratuito al lado del establecimiento. Vale la pena el viaje.

Capitati quasi per caso, ma rimasti colpiti dalla qualità del cibo e dalla velocità del servizio. Provate le tagliatelle al cinghiale e la zuppa di fagioli (strepitosa) e il tagliare di salumi (favolosi).

Stumbled upon it almost by chance, but were impressed by the quality of the food and the speed of the service. Try the wild boar tagliatelle and the bean soup (amazing) and the cold cuts (fabulous).

We returned for the third time, once a year when we pass through Barcis and this time with a small child. Impeccable service, the menu is always varied, the food delicious. A heartfelt thank you because despite a delay due to various misfortunes, we were welcomed and pampered even under tight deadlines. We will return at the first opportunity but I recommend it to everyone. The air is really nice
