I came here almost by chance because I'm celiac and I stopped in the area, and it was a true culinary experience! A delicious place, very kind owners. Warm bread covered in a cloth, traditional dishes cooked with love. I say experience because it's a little place I'll definitely keep in my heart and will visit again soon. Thank you! Giulia

A wonderful place that I'm very fond of, nestled in the greenery of Barcis. They serve traditional, refined, and delicious dishes from the valley!

Visited for a romantic weekend with my partner, the Rifugio offers both a bed and breakfast option and a "just" culinary experience. It was recommended to us by friends, and we couldn't have been happier. The room was spotless and wonderful, entirely in wood. It had a unique sense of calm, and we slept wonderfully. Located just steps from Lake Barcis, which can be visited and hiked, it's a charming and peaceful place. The friendly and kind staff made us feel at home, always available. The delicious food surprised us; one dish led to another, and the prices are fair and totally in line with the quality and robustness of the products offered. A member of Slow Food, Rifugio Vallata is definitely a place worth visiting again and again;

Today, for the first time, a couple of friends took us to this place for lunch. It was beautiful, welcoming, and very well-prepared. The location was very charming, and the food was equally as good; we ate very well. I gave it 4 stars because the prices are a bit high.

Inside a superbly managed (and extraordinarily clean!) facility, you can spend hours immersed in the greenery, savoring authentic, well-cooked flavors, and soaking up the colors and silence of the area's natural beauty. Bruna is very helpful and attentive to her guests' needs; with a rare kindness, I believe she's the person who best fits the context. This facility stands out, within a complex that perhaps doesn't hold any great surprises in terms of hospitality. I hope to return!

I only used the restaurant, and what can I say? Traditional Friulian dishes, simple but delicious, friendly staff, and a dinner with wine by the glass, coffee, and grappa (no desserts) cost us €40. I highly recommend it. It's also located in a secluded, quiet spot—you can't ask for anything more in the mountains!
