A stunning location at high altitude, with a family-style welcome suitable for groups and families. Excellent, locally sourced food. Simply put, it all in one word: Fantastic. We'll be back in the spring.

The location is fantastic, the owners of the refuge are very friendly and welcoming... we were guests for a truly excellent lamb dinner and then we met the legendary Silvano 👌... truly a genuine TOP person

Wonderful place! The refuge can be reached by car. There is adjacent parking. The kitchen is open from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, but throughout the day you can enjoy mixed platters and sandwiches, as well as local cakes, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Several trails start from there. For those who have a few hours, I recommend visiting the Acque Sparse lakes, just an hour from the refuge.

The owner was kind, helpful, and honest. I contacted him the night before to see if I could load my e-bike and eat lunch. He responded promptly, and the service was confirmed upon arrival despite the crowd. Delicious food and excellent prices. I recommend booking for the rest of the place to try. 👍

04/01/2026: We spent New Year's Eve here. Everything was great, some excellent dishes, especially the risotto with red cabbage and hazelnuts, mandarin sorbet, and beef tartare. The atmosphere was intimate, simple, and family-friendly, perfect for those seeking tranquility.

15/01/2026: Courtesy, friendliness and professionalism combined with a welcoming and very clean place.... the location is positioned near the Chiavenna station... and my window was overlooking the weekly Saturday market... excellent breakfast and above all with the restaurant with a less full of delicacies.... thank you, see you soon
05/01/2026: Very nice, but above all, very, very clean! It passed the white sock test. We found managing the numerous spotlights a bit awkward, but the fourth-floor room had wooden beams and a truly quaint atmosphere, despite the modern furnishings (all NEW). The default temperature was 23.5°C, which was too hot for us, but once we learned we could lower it ourselves, it was super comfortable. The third and fourth beds were not bunk beds as booked, but rather two armchairs (which was better).
