Rifugio Som Picol In Schivenoglia

Excellent food!!!! The food is truly delicious and the portions are generous, the homemade desserts are delicious and healthy, and the prices are fair. Sofia, who runs it, is excellent. I recommend booking. I also recommend Promotur FVG and the various "Io sono Friuli" (people from Friuli) etc. to go and see how they work and the service they provide to mountain tourism.

For our first ski experience on Varmost, we had lunch at this refuge for two days (reservations are available). It's very popular, with a few tables inside for warmth and several outside in the sun. Restrooms are clean. The dishes are obviously hearty; I recommend the UPS (eggs, potatoes, speck) and the gnocchi with meat sauce (very good!!).
