After the strenuous climb from the Kiener Alm, the Gitschhütte was just the right place for a well-deserved break. We enjoyed the stunning view with a cool drink – simply magnificent!

Everything was top-notch. The staff was super friendly. The view was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the prices were really reasonable. The beer brand is also top-notch. The playground is an absolute dream for kids.

Best dumpling ever!!! With leek sauce! Incredibly good. Very nice staff. Before eating, we recommend the hike (path no. 21) from the mountain station via Zassler-Alm (apparently closed in summer) and below the Gitsch summit to the Gitsch-Alm; Duration approx. 55 minutes.

Great location! Great view and above all great service! Local delicacies are served at a high level, very nice staff and fair prices. There are also always great events with live music.

Place with a great view. If you like Kaiserschmarrn, I wouldn't recommend it here. This was floating in the fat on the plate. Too bad. Otherwise friendly service, great atmosphere.

30/05/2025: We stayed at this hotel for a few days. Everything was to our complete satisfaction; the food, rooms, and service were excellent. Gabi, the manager, and her staff were accommodating and friendly. This 700-year-old building has been furnished and maintained with so much love and taste; it's simply beautiful. We will definitely come back. Thank you again for the wonderful time.
26/05/2025: Very cozy hotel in the center of the old town. Beautiful view, comfortable rooms, wonderful breakfast, and genuine hospitality. This is my third time staying at this hotel and I'll be back again!

30/04/2025: The food at the Schneeburghof is delicious!! Large portions, loving service staff and a beautiful view. We would love to come back.
