Rifugio Prato della Cipolla In Santo stefano d'aveto

Excellent bar in Prato Cipolla where you can also eat. I've personally tasted excellent polenta with cheese, tomato sauce, etc. The meats are excellent, and I've seen they also make sandwiches. The draft beer is also excellent.

Excellent location, excellent service, and excellent food; we come often and return often.

We had lunch at this refuge while walking the Maggiorasca ring, top food!!!

The last time I was in Santo Stefano d’Aveto, starting from Farini (PC), I drove up to Rocca d’Aveto. Here I took the chairlift to the Prato della Cipolla refuge, landing in the beautiful grassy basin, surmounted by the spectacular spur called “Dente della Cipolla”. Once I reached the top, on the path of my trek, I had the pleasure of meeting the famous comedian Crozza who, as a gallant hiker of the place, greeted me first. That fact took me by surprise and, at that moment, I did not respond promptly... After apologizing, I later joined him in the characteristic restaurant hut, where his wife and actress Carla Signoris was waiting for him. The couple of actors coming from the mountain residence of Santo Stefano, had arrived on Prato Cipolla for the usual weekly walk to Ferriere (PC). It was very exciting to meet them, and I did not miss the opportunity to express my congratulations to both of them. And after an excellent snack on the house, I took my leave of that magical place, thanking everyone for the welcoming hospitality.
