Rifugio Parafulmine In Gandino

Oggi a mezzogiorno abbiamo mangiato molto bene, Le lasagne di selvaggina,e pizzoccheri ottimi,piatto di polenta formaggio e funghi buono. Porzioni di dolce abbondanti e buone. Abbiamo scoperto che si può anche cenare alla sera ci torneremo.

Refuge stormed every weekend. On April 25th we waited for about an hour before being served. The polenta with beef is generous, the pizzoccheri are sufficient. I don't recommend the house red wine, while the homemade cakes are good. I didn't understand why the receipt has to be requested at the checkout while they only give you a pre-bill to sit down.

The route is very beautiful and accessible to everyone, the car park at the start of the path has reasonable availability, just arrive before 10am, at least on Sundays. The refuge is always very busy on nice days and you might have to queue for a while to order. On the other hand, the cooking is very quick and the prices are honest. The managers are very kind :--) You also meet several nice four-legged friends (see photo) 🐶🐶🐶

Organizzati molto bene visto il gran afflusso di gente. Alcuni si lamentavano della mancanza del pagamento pos, ma direi normale vista l assenza di internet. Quindi direi, che pace! La cucina ottima, mi sono pulita per benino i piatti. Consiglio assolutamente

Very popular refuge. Good quality. Friendly staff

The Parafülmen refuge can be reached in any season starting from Mount Farno at approximately 1250 meters in approximately 1.30 hours of walking. I prefer the high route, the one that partly passes through the roccolo, almost at the start of the route. The refuge is located on a very beautiful hill at 1536m surrounded by pastures, with little shade and the possibility of taking beautiful walks. The best one is the one that allows you to reach Pizzo Formico at 1636 m. The refuge is an excellent refreshment point and is therefore very popular. The dishes are excellent (braised meat, goulash, melted cheese, pizzoccheri, casoncelli, polenta and homemade cakes). Clean bathrooms and great service. Always check the opening and availability of lunches and dinners on the refuge website. Remember to make a "scratch and park" payment at the bars in Gandino or at the parking meter located along the road leading to Mount Farno, before the car parks.

The place is very nice, but unfortunately we couldn't eat, because you can't pay by card. I understand the line problems, but it would be better to point them out at the beginning of the route with a simple sign, avoiding these inconveniences. So here, if you read the review and want to go, go with cash. The food looked very good, we hope to go back and try it!
