Nice refuge, easy to reach on foot from the car park reachable from Gandino by providing scratch cards and stopping at the bars in the town.
Little effort, travel time 1 hour.

Easy climb to the refuge! Walk of about an hour and a half from the car park below. Not very big but roomy. The refuge has around twenty places for refreshment and there are also tables outside. In winter it is usually open on weekends. Good food!

Refuge reachable on foot within everyone's reach
The refuge itself is small with few seats inside, but it has many tables outside.
The cuisine is very good.

Excellent value for money. All delicious dishes. The Christmas decoration inside is enchanting and discreet. A gloomy day rewarded by the warmth of Rifugio Parafulmine. Well done.

Refuge with seating outside or a few tables inside... for lunch it is not possible to book and you only pay in cash! Having said this basic information, I don't understand the negative reviews about the service: you order, the food is ready in just a few steps and you take a few steps to get it and sit down! The staff at the cash register and in the kitchen are very kind... the prices are clearly written on a blackboard before queuing and also any supplements for polenta taragna! The dishes are plentiful and excellent! Even the drinks have prices that you would only dream of in other refuges! Congratulations, keep it up!

Excellent place to have lunch, everything is good, very quick to serve, at normal prices. After the walk, a stop there is worth it 👍💯💯.

Siamo arrivati al rifugio dopo una camminata nella natura, abbiamo scelto nello specifico questo trekking perché dal sito, come scritto, sembra esserci molta varietà anche per chi non mangia carne… purtroppo però era presente solo un piatto effettivamente vegetariano (tolti i dolci) nonostante ciò cibo molto buono.

Siamo stati al Rifugio Parafulmine due giorni fa, dopo una bella camminata di un'ora e mezza in mezzo alla natura. Arrivati al rifugio abbiamo ammirato il panorama e poi abbiamo gustato le prelibatezze che offriva il menù: brasato con polenta e guancetta di maiale con polenta...che dire OTTIMI!
Peccato non aver assaggiato le torte che c'erano, ma ahimè ero sazia del super piatto.
Ci ritorneremo sicuramente
