Rifugio Paci In Ascoli piceno

We went for lunch on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The refuge is a welcoming gathering place next to a roaring fireplace, run by an all-female team, all fantastic. The cuisine is truly authentic and rooted in tradition, with generous portions to say the least. It's exactly the place you'd want to stop after a hike on one of the many trails nearby. It's our go-to place when we're in Ascoli Piceno. Long live the Rifugio Paci!

A beautiful refuge surrounded by nature. I called and asked if they could make amatriciana. They replied, "Give me 15 minutes and I'll put the sauce on." Four of us arrived, hungry, and the amatriciana weighed over 1 kg. Fantastic, they even brought us a bowl of extra sauce to mop up the sauce. Two appetizers, over 1 kg of pasta, coffee, and drinks, were 15 euros each.

Excellent and plentiful food! Every time we're in the area, we can't help but go there! The amatriciana is spectacular!

What a fantastic discovery! The Paci refuge is a wonderful place to have lunch with family and friends. The food is top-notch: the porchetta suckling pig was the highlight, tender and flavorful, but the ravioli and desserts were equally as delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and informal, the staff is extremely friendly, and the service impeccable. Excellent food, endless drinks, and a warm welcome: the perfect mix for a five-star experience. I can't wait to return.

We stopped spontaneously after a trip to the Eremita. We just wanted a coffee, but the friendly owner persuaded us to try a dessert made with Melitt's anisetta. A dream, the stop was well worth it. We even got a free anisetta.

A tasty surprise. I stayed with friends at this CAI refuge after a hike on Mount Girella. The staff is truly welcoming; we chose the full menu, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Authentic dishes from Ascoli cuisine with pleasant influences from neighboring Abruzzo and Lazio. The chef was available to offer advice and even shared stories that helped us make the most of our experience. As CAI members, we truly felt at home. Highly recommended.

A place where you feel at home, excellent food, very fair prices and welcoming staff, all framed by a wild nature definitely waiting to be discovered

A simple and very welcoming cabin in the shade of ancient Lebanese cedars. The staff is exquisite, as are the dishes served, all very good (cheese pizza, battered zucchini, tagliatelle with mushrooms and cherry tomatoes). The suckling pig is especially special, and it's unbeatable!!! The price of the full menu is €30...well worth it. Congratulations! Finding a quiet place where you can eat well and spend the right amount, or rather less, is not easy. We'll definitely be back!
