Rifugio Menaggio In Plesio

I review the restaurant. We had lunch with cold cuts, pasta with ragù, polenta uncia, polenta and braised meat, desserts, bitters and coffee. The service is friendly and helpful. The cutting board didn't fascinate me much, but I really liked the polenta uncia. The local desserts and liqueurs are also good. From Breglia, paying €3 for the road that goes up towards the mountain, after a 2.5km climb you arrive at the last usable car park. 2 paths start from there, the low one (basically it continues horizontally from the car park and then goes up a lot) and the high one. The latter rises immediately but is less steep than the one defined as low. I therefore prefer the high one, also for the view. Both require approximately 50'.

07/08/2022 . I arrived at the Menaggio refuge after climbing Monte Grona starting from the Breglia Mountains. Lunch at the refuge where it was possible to both eat inside and, given the beautiful day, order and then eat on the tables outside. I tried a platter of cold cuts and cheeses with a generous portion and a good encore of homemade dessert. The refuge also offers a beautiful lawn where you can sunbathe in front of a breathtaking lake view. Prices normal. Recommended for a refreshment during your holidays

Although the day was not beautiful, the location of the refuge offers a wonderful view. We left the car in Breglia: the path is wide and well signposted. We really enjoyed the refuge's cuisine. The homemade apple and chocolate cakes are delicious. The girl who runs the refuge is very friendly and hospitable. We will definitely return to then go up to the Centenario via ferrata.

Splendid refuge located on a natural balcony with breathtaking views. Extremely courteous and kind young staff. Excellent cuisine. A nice experience

Un trekking molto facile,.lasciando l'auto nel paesino di Breglia che in meno di un'ora e mezza con un dislivello di 650 metri porta al rifugio, si può scegliere due sentieri quello basso e quello alto. Per rendere il trekking ancora più facile si può pagare il ticket di 3 euro e arrivare a parcheggiare l'auto ai monti Breglia con un dislivello di 350 metri. Il rifugio è un balcone sul lago di Como, si trova alle pendici del monte Grona, si ha un'ottima vista sull'intero lago e da qui partono altri sentieri.

Rifugio raggiungibile con una bella passeggiata non troppo impegnativa, vista spettacolare, cucina ottima, e la gestora Greta è simpaticissima e bravissima e attenta alle esigenze del cliente.

Si mangia discretamente bene a prezzi buoni

Tappa obbligata se volete mangiare non bene...strabenissimo!!!

Bella gita da fare in compagnia..al rifugio si mangia bene si spende il giusto..e la vista è impagabile..per me 👌

After you climb so much, everything seems perfect there! Cold beer, tasty pasta, delicious cake! Definetely recommend yo visit!
