Incredibly kind people who take great care of you. Small cabin with a beautiful view. Highly recommended.

The hospitality of the owners is amazing, the food is awesome (vegetarian and vegan options are possible), rooms were nice with some clever little details. It is obvious the owners know exactly what the average hiker needs. And on top of that, you get a breathtaking view. Highly recommend!!

A small refuge where we were welcomed with warmth and friendliness

Spectacular location immersed in the greenery of the upper Brembana Valley

Small refuge at about 2000 meters above sea level, easily reached in 90 minutes from Mezzoldo, Madonna delle nevi refuge. In a wonderful location, it offers excellent craft beer on tap and homemade cakes. The view is wonderful and relaxing, far from the urban chaos and traffic even of the San Marco pass.

Always nice to go to Balico. Silvia and Luca always welcome the refugee with joy and attention. Food 10 and praise. And what about little Amelia...a sweetheart. Thanks guys for the beautiful day. See you next time.

We stayed for one night on a half-board basis and it was a really great experience. Silvia and Luca, the managers, are super people. I recommend it to everyone!

I was with a group of friends at the Balicco Refuge. Silvia welcomed us with her exuberance and friendliness and made us feel at home right away, as if we were family. The location is splendid and after a lot of hard work the welcome warmed our hearts. Luca, cook and Silvia's husband, prepared us an excellent dinner and listen up.... among the courses he served us Dahl with basmati rice and polenta, which I love! Really nice people, they had dinner with us and told us about their experience as well as the work and effort to keep the Refuge open for all walkers like us. The next morning they offered us breakfast outside, with a splendid view of the mountains. We really had a great time, Silvia and Luca Welcoming, attentive, professional and capable people in their work. Well done, vote 10 with honors! Paola Perusi, Verona

Super friendly and helpful staff, excellent food. The vegan option is really not bad. Maybe the prices are a little above average but considering the efforts of management and supply and how much these people do daily for the whole mountain environment, it is money that is willingly spent. And they certainly do not become rich :-)
