The people were incredibly kind and helpful. My girlfriend and I were welcomed like real guests. The refuge only accepts cash payments, and we only had a debit card. Nevertheless, they offered us two slices of tart (which was delicious, by the way!), a large bottle of water, and coffee. All without asking! We were almost embarrassed and didn't know how to thank them. The perfect way to end a beautiful day in the woods! Thanks again.

To get there, you can park at the "Acquerino Environmental Education Center," where you'll find signs. From there, it's a 2.5km walk. A forest road is also accessible with a stroller. The refuge staff are very friendly and organized. They're open for Ferragosto, offering both table service (reservation required) and takeaway (cutlery, bread). The food is good and the atmosphere is nice. You can also grill your own food. We'll be back.

A charming place, immersed in the nature of the Acquerino Reserve. The place is simple and offers a simple but delicious and authentic menu (all handmade!). The host is very kind and helpful. To get there, leave your car at the Environmental Education Center and take trail O2: the elevation gain is minimal, and the surface is excellent for walking. But it's quite a distance, taking a good half hour, so take your time and enjoy the nature!

Open only on Saturdays and Sundays in summer.
