The place is very welcoming and allows you to spend a pleasant evening in the company of friends and relatives. Excellent food and lots of local choice and more. The service provided by young guys is pleasant and never boring. The bill is a little steep but considering the location of the place and the uniqueness it can be accommodated every now and then. A place that really deserves it! Family dinner, walk under the stars (but a snowcat from the restaurant is available), amazing location, good wine, exquisite cuisine. I was impressed by the amount of Gluten free food on the menu, since my daughter has celiac disease, which happens very rarely. The staff is kind and professional. Many things are local, like cheese or red cabbage. Exceptional price quality. The place was recently enlarged and renovated, the upstairs is truly beautiful. Congratulations, I will recommend it to everyone!

True mountain atmosphere, authentic and healthy, and a menu (luckily always the same) that is a pleasure to find again, refined in preserving tradition but excellent on the palate like grandmothers' foods! The place can only be reached on foot in winter via a walk of around 1.5 km from the town of Salice d'Ulzio. So you have to be self-sufficient with appropriate shoes and if you walk the path in the woods, and it has just snowed, wear snowshoes. Small place, only one room but there are quite a few people in it. However, I must say that the tables are close together so that you can be comfortable and chat calmly. Mountain environment, very beautiful also because the entire room is made of wood and you feel relaxed. In the room there was a pellet stove lit, it was really comfortable. I highly recommend making a telephone reservation, a place that has multiple shifts during the day but despite this, absolutely call. Friendly and dynamic staff. The guys who served the tables were very kind, recommended their dishes, and tried to make you feel at home. The menu is not extensive, but balanced with traditional and typical mountain dishes. I must say the quality of the food was excellent, the game cooked well. Balanced flavors and more than fair portions. I recommend the purple gnocchi, but with the game ragout instead of the mushroom sauce, and the typical gnocchi with local toma cheese, tomato and gorgonzola. We didn't get the appetizers, but seeing them pass through the room, they looked inviting, really. Don't miss the dessert, whatever you get I think they are all good. I had the buckwheat cake with apricots, delicious. To drink we had craft beer made in the area, I recommend it. Excellent quality/price ratio for the service, the quality of the raw material and its reprocessing.

Locale raggiungibile d'inverno unicamente a piedi tramite una passeggiata di circa 1,5 km a piedi dal paese di Salice d'Ulzio. Locale piccolino, tavoli vicini però devo dire bel disposti per poter stare comodi e interloquire con tranquillità. Ambiente di montagna, molto bello anche perché tutto il locale in legno e ti senti rilassato. Consiglio vivamente la prenotazione telefonica, locale che fa più turni durante la giornata ma nonostante questo, telefonare assolutamente. Personale cordiale e dinamico. I ragazzi che servivano ai tavoli gentilissimi. Il menu non ampio, ma equilibrato con i piatti della tradizione e tipici della montagna. Qualità del cibo devo dire ottimo, la selvaggina cucinata bene. Sapori equilibrati e porzioni più che giuste. Io consiglio i gnocchi viola, presi però con il ragù di selvaggina al posto del sugo ai funghi, e i gnocchi tipici con toma della zona, pomodoro e gorgonzola. Non abbiamo preso gli antipasti, ma vedendoli passare per la sala, avevano un aspetto invitante, veramente. Da non perdere il dolce, qualsiasi cosa si prenda penso che siano buoni tutti. Da bere abbiamo preso la birra artigianale fatta nella zona, la consiglio. Rapporto qualità/prezzo ottima per il servizio, la qualità della materia prima e della sua rielaborazione.

Nell'insieme abbiamo mangiato molto bene. Molto buona la polenta con il cervo e la cajette (gnocco gigante fatto con le verdure di stagione). I dolci sublimi....da provare assolutamente lo zabaione. Personale cortese.
