So, first of all, my deepest sympathy and respect for those who attempt the refuge (despite it not being a "high-altitude" refuge). In winter, I think it's difficult due to transportation... and in summer, it's very crowded, since you can also get there by car, with all the inconveniences that entails depending on the type of people arriving. It certainly doesn't please everyone, that's normal. However, I was there during a quiet period; the food offering is typical of refuges; I wasn't looking for anything else, but the attention to detail in the dishes should be better controlled. In my case, the pastin was badly burned on the outside (black), so much so that I had to "fix" it to eat half of it. I understand a lot of things: family-run? The slightly dated kitchen equipment? Or maybe just a bad day and a poor eye for what's on the plate? I'll go back for a tour and reassess.

I'm sad to see that people these days have nothing but criticism, and they're also ignorant and don't even know what refuge means. Some people don't deserve any attention. You do your job admirably, congratulations. These rude people who leave reviews like this are a reflection of themselves. They should have been kicked out in a rude manner, but you are gentlemen and you still showed them respect, something they don't have and never will.

A big thank you to the managers of the Talamini refuge for the good food and hospitality. A big thank you to all the refuge keepers who do their utmost, despite countless difficulties, to ensure we can find refreshment after a tiring hike. Simple, authentic food, simple but genuine people, are what I hope to always find in a mountain refuge. I would also like to say to the many tourists who have high expectations in refuges: STAY HOME or go to the beach. Before going to the mountains, you must learn to love them.
