Rifugio Galaberna Ostana In Ostana

Always kind, always welcoming. Today we stopped for a quick hello and they prepared an excellent cheese and cured meat platter for us. We drank a bottle of Nebbiolo, coffee, and a delicious grappa.

The service was very slow; I waited almost an hour or so for my dish, even though it was expected. I didn't ask for seconds because otherwise I would have waited forever. For what I ate, I think I spent too much.

Excellent food, warm welcome and very fair prices for the quantity and size of the dishes

Excellent typical Piedmontese food, good bottled wine too, quick service and friendly waitresses

A beautiful refuge located in a scenic setting. Accessible by car.

A mid-mountain refuge accessible by car, located in Ostana, a village worth a visit in itself. Splendid views of Monviso. I stayed in a double room with private bathroom for a few days so I could visit the "King of Stone." Newly furnished, impeccably clean, a cuisine worthy of a refuge, and impeccable hospitality. They welcome pets.

The refuge is located just outside Ostana, a charming, beautifully renovated Occitan village. Very clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with excellent food. We had a wonderful time! An excellent starting point for the Monviso tour and other treks.
