The refuge can be reached by following trail 104, a fairly brisk walk of about 50 minutes. After an initial uphill stretch on a dirt road, you reach a splendid open plain, offering truly breathtaking views. It's advisable to arrive early, as lunch time is limited until 1:00 PM. The cuisine is truly interesting, with simple yet carefully crafted dishes: don't miss the tasty and well-prepared polenta dishes. Service is quick and efficient, even at peak times. Comfortable loungers are available outside, perfect for relaxing in the sun or shade after your hike. The beer selection is also excellent, ideal for a refreshing break at altitude.

From Serrada, after an easy 1.5-hour walk suitable for families and children, you reach a picturesque plateau, with flower-filled meadows and views of the entire valley. Evocative and relaxing. At the Rifugio Filzi, a warm, simple, and sincere welcome is guaranteed, as is the excellent cuisine. We never fail to return.

A beautiful and easy hike from Serrada, with fantastic views of the Lagarina Valley, Folgaria, and the surrounding mountains. A lovely break with a simply amazing homemade cake.

I wanted to respond to Mr. Sala's review, considering that I was in the dining room for lunch. I'd like to clarify the following. First of all, there weren't six people, but definitely around twenty. The manager asked that we not consume the food brought by the kids in the outdoor area designated for refreshments provided by the shelter. Regarding bathroom use, he recommended using it only two at a time to avoid clogging the hallway, as the kitchen staff had to leave to serve the people outside. I personally even saw kids climbing over the fence, where there are clearly visible signs prohibiting it. Let's just say I couldn't enjoy my meal in peace, partly because a kid approached my bike, which was parked in the designated space, and turned on the rear light. It certainly wasn't a serious incident, but those in charge of supervising the kids should teach them the basics of good behavior. I'll conclude by saying that some kids entered the restaurant and handed their belongings to the woman who was at the counter at the time. So, in my opinion, you're being too tolerant and accommodating, Mr. Sala. Perhaps the situation has gotten out of hand... it happens.

Dear Mr. Sala, I'm pleased to read your review, which helps us understand that we're not a religious center and that we work with people on vacation who want to relax. Use of the bathroom is free; we just asked not to clog up the hallway, since we have to go through for service. Since there's only one bathroom, there's no need for crowding in the hallway; we were kindly asked to use it one or two at a time. Lastly, there weren't six of you, but 20...

Friendly and welcoming owners. It's a shame about the repeaters ruining the scenery, but at least you can only get there on foot or by bike. The outdoor loungers are comfortable for relaxing in the sun, and there's plenty of space around.

Today, Saturday 2 May 2025, we went up by bike to the Fabio Filzi refuge, despite a not splendid day but the refuge's cuisine brightened our day. Four different dishes, the Pasta alla Pastora, the Finonchio dish, the dumplings with speck in broth and the spinach dumplings with melted butter, all excellent dishes. The lunch ended with 4 different cakes, delicious. Congratulations for the service and quality. We will be back Ernanno, Doria, Ennio, Nadia
