A beautiful refuge and a lovely, easy hike that can be done in just half a day. The refuge is often open, and the manager is very friendly. Unfortunately, dogs aren't allowed inside, as the refuge is small (and the number of dogs is growing), but there are plenty of tables outside, and it's warm when the sun shines.

Besides the magnificent location, the hermitage, the hospitality, and the food are the real gems of the place. A host who knows what hospitality means. Congratulations and thank you.

I returned to the hermitage after 4 years and I must say that some things were not very clear, starting with the fact that there is no menu to see with the corresponding prices (everything was blind) and I was served a grilled cheese that I could not eat only to find out, when I asked what it was, that it was goat cheese because so many people have intolerances... true, but I pointed out that there are also those who do not like goat, including me... it does not seem fair to the customer not to specify that goat will be served and ask if it is acceptable... anyway, in the end Barbara did not charge me for the side dish and apologized! The place is always fabulous with fabulous autumn colors... see you next time!!!

Today we took a lovely walk along the Stations of the Cross, with about 500 meters of elevation gain. It's steep and through the woods, but not particularly difficult (just a little bit of fitness required). There are several benches along the way for rest. At the top, you can enjoy a beautiful view. We only had coffee at the hermitage, but the owner is very friendly. We'll be back for lunch. I recommend booking by phone.

A perfect August holiday at the Eremo dei Romiti: truly relaxing, with spotless rooms and bathrooms, an authentic atmosphere, and Barbara's impeccable hospitality. Excellent cuisine, featuring local dishes crafted with attention to detail and using local ingredients. The Eremo is immersed in nature and is also the first forest therapy center in the Veneto region: a truly regenerating and immersive experience that I recommend to everyone!
