Rustic but very nice and intimate refuge. The food is of low quality and the prices are very high. There were 4 adults and a child, we took a platter of cold cuts, a pasta with tomato sauce, 3 bread gnocchi with melted butter, a frico (I have never eaten such a bad frico in my life), a plate of mushrooms (these were also inedible ), two bottles of beer (0.75 ml each) and still water for a total of €120. Receipt not received!
I will definitely go walking again but this time with a packed lunch!

Truly beautiful, original and no-frills mountain refuge. The food is good, adequate portions and genuine dishes... like the managers. I also saw that they have some rooms... worth trying!

Questo rifugio per noi è ormai tappa fissa ogni volta che veniamo a Sauris, ci sentiamo accolti dai gentilissimi gestori come in famiglia.
Raggiungibile con facile camminata da Sauris di sotto o da Lateis, sia in estate che in inverno con la neve (consigliati i ramponcini per il ghiaccio).
Menù non troppo lungo, quello che ci si aspetta da un rifugio, quelli che si lamentano per la scelta limitata che vadano al ristorante.
Piatti genuini e tutto fatto in casa, il pane, il ragù di selvaggina, la polenta, gli ottimi gnocchi di pane, le crostate, i liquori..
Prezzi adeguati.

We reached this refuge on foot starting from La Maina via route 2F, very suggestive and of medium difficulty. A refuge with simple and tasty cuisine with local dishes, we opted for the mixed cold cuts, polenta and mushrooms and the frico, all good as was the service.
Spectacular views and landscapes.

Characteristic mountain refuge, easy to access, beautiful views, typical cuisine of a true mountain refuge with local and fresh products, very familiar service, fair prices. We will be back.

We had lunch in this refuge which can be reached shortly after a simple path that starts from Sauris di Sotto. Excellent minestrone with garden vegetables and good frico. Radicchio in oil is delicious as an appetizer. The service was pleasant and very fast

Raggiungibile anche in auto, altrimenti 1 ora di camminata da Lateis o da Sauris. Oggi le tavole erano piene e a servire solo Signora e figlio. Se non avete premura potete,anzi dovete fermarvi. Birra locale 'Zare' o internazionale. Poca scelta come piatti ma buoni ed abbondanti.
