Company Christmas dinner, service not up to par, grilled meat served cold

We went for a birthday lunch, and were overjoyed with the entire experience. The waitress and other servers were friendly and kind, the menu large and full of interesting choices, the food excellent and in large portions. We enjoyed everything: the large antipasto, the fettuccine with porcini mushrooms and chestnuts, and polenta with ragu di maiale and sausage, the artichokes alla giudia, the crema catalana and panna cotta, both very fresh. Although a Tuesday, the restaurant was full. 30 minutes from Rome, we will certainly return, it was a very positive experience in every way.

All good, the acoustics should be changed

A selection of excellent ingredients, expert and meticulous cuisine. Fast, friendly, and attentive service, despite the packed dining room. To say I'll be back is an understatement.

Nice place. Family-style. The food is good. This is our second time there, and both times they got the bill wrong. The first time, they added some courses, while the second time, yesterday, we asked for changes. Instead of 1 liter of red wine, we wanted half a liter, but they left both on the bill and added a bottle of water we hadn't ordered. Furthermore, the menu listed a price for the tagliata with arugula, cherry tomatoes, and parmesan at €23, while the bill showed it at €24. The waiters explained that the extra euro was for the cherry tomatoes. It's not the euro, of course, but that's not a sensible reason, as the cherry tomatoes are already included in the menu. In fact, on the first receipt, the price of the tagliata was correct, while on the other two (because they had to re-bill us three times due to counting errors) it had gone up. In one of them, they even added two bottles of water we hadn't ordered. As for the house appetizer, I find the price of €15 per person a bit excessive for what you get, and the beans and tripe were bland. The pappardelle were tough. Overall, the prices are a bit high. The service was average. After everything that happened yesterday, they even took away the €2.50 discount they'd initially given us on the receipt with the incorrect bill. My final complaint is that the parking attendant came after us to ask for a higher tip because he thought the one we gave him was too low. Thanks, and see you next time! 😉

A retro location (always a favorite of mine) with plenty of tables but very low noise. The hand-cut ham is very good, always fresh every time I order it, and the meats are truly interesting (both aged and young).

Few photos because we ate it all at once. The portion of fried mushrooms was excellent and generous, the tagliatelle with mushrooms and chestnuts and the artichoke ones were very good. The portion of polenta with spare ribs was also very generous. Excellent service, with very friendly and attentive staff. Family atmosphere. A little noisy, but okay. Convenient parking.
