The refuge is welcoming and well-kept, perfect for spending a peaceful night. The managers are exquisite people who immediately make you feel at home. Their friendliness and availability are contagious, creating a familiar and relaxed atmosphere. The cuisine is another strong point: typical Piedmontese dishes prepared with care and fresh ingredients. I enjoyed a delicious lunch with excellent polenta, accompanied by a good glass of local wine. The refuge is also an excellent starting point for excursions to other surrounding refuges and peaks. Luciano, the manager, is a mine of information and will be able to advise you on the routes best suited to your abilities. In summary, the Rifugio Lago della Vecchia is an experience not to be missed for mountain lovers. Valle Cervo, Rif. Lago della Vecchia, refuge with a moustache! Nice, well cared for. The refugee and staff were very kind and friendly. Superb view. Cozy and family atmosphere. Highly recommended!

A nice walk to reach the refuge and the lake 5 minutes away where the Cervo stream originates. First it starts in the woods, then the vegetation diminishes. Always cute July 2024

Una bella passeggiata per raggiungere il rifugio e il lago a 5 minuti dove nasce il torrente Cervo. Prima parte nel bosco poi la vegetazione diminuisce. Sempre carino

Solid as a Rifugio could be. A great place with great hospitality and people who know their way around the Alpes. Long hot shower, great food and open fire is a fantastic ending on a long hike. This place is a really good stop for the night. Special compliment and thanks to Luciano for caring and serving super tasty sugar pieces in alcohol with orange and pear flawor, I loved it.

Today my husband and I went up to the Lago della Vecchia refuge, we ate really well, the polenta concia was very good, the cheeses, the dessert, the very nice staff, compliments, we will be back.
