Rifugio del Fargno In Ussita

Beautiful place. It takes its name from the FARNIO valley which in turn takes its name from the FARNIA oak!! I hate the name FarGNO!!

We returned to the Fargno refuge after many years on August 15th. The location is splendid and the guys who run the refuge are very kind and good. I ate very well, excellent lentils and pasta with Fargno herbs. Compliments!

Local products. Sliced ​​cured meats and pasta with local herbs. Good variety but not very popular prices. When there are a lot of people you have to wait a long time before eating but the food is good and worth it. Must try.

We only had a break and lunch between the two of us. We ate well, with the courtesy and smile of the management guys, and used the bathroom. It's a wonderful place and, from my experience, I was satisfied. Congratulations to the manager and the guys who work there!

Beautiful. 360° view of the Sibillini Mountains. Good food. The road leading to the refuge is in good condition.

Reachable by car (with care), motorbike and bicycle it is fantastic for affixing. It offers simple and discreet meals (cold cuts, cheeses, polenta and pasta, excellent cakes). It has beds in separate compartments and a single (discreet) bathroom, without particular demands, but functional. Ideal starting point for excursions at high altitude, it is essential to be able to reach it by car, the ascent on foot from the valley is too long and demanding if you want to aim for the nearby peaks.

We slept in the refuge with both children in preparation for the excursion we would do the next day. We reached the refuge on foot from Pintura, enjoyed the sunset and had dinner and slept on it! Excellent and plentiful cuisine (good tagliatelle with mushrooms!!), friendly environment and very kind managers!

Very nice place, welcoming environment, prompt and friendly service. Genuine and clearly fresh and zero-kilometre food, with typical and local products. Bring as much as you need. I definitely recommend visiting it and spending a pleasant time there. Nice common rooms and clean common bathroom.
