Interesting place, unpretentious, good food, friendly staff

Bikers and non-bikers alike, if you're in the area, resist the temptation to picnic and head to the refuge for lunch. The welcome is warm and unpretentious, and the food is authentic and well-cooked. We went there yesterday for the first time, but it's now saved on Google Maps with a star. Well done, keep it up!

We had lunch after a nice walk from Vararo. Excellent welcome. Welcome with hot soup. Special appetizer: panzanella, potatoes, cheeses, savory pie, etc. A good polenta with egg. Excellent tart with cream and fresh blueberries. Fair price/quality ratio. Really worth it.

Spartan but very welcoming refuge

It's worth taking the narrow road up the Cuvignone Pass to enjoy the refuge's simple but delicious cuisine, followed by a short walk to the balcony, which offers a 180° view of Lake Maggiore.

Less of a refuge and more of a bar-restaurant, but it's fine. A balcony overlooking Lake Maggiore is 100 meters away, not to be missed.
