Rifugio De Grandi Adamoli In Castelveccana

Rifugio molto bello in una posizione strategica a pochi passi da uno stupendo belvedere dove si ammira il Lago Maggiore. Il punto forte del rifugio è la polenta, molto buona, e il prezzo, direi onesto! Staff molto gentile, simpatico ed accogliente!

There is no questioning the location, the viewpoint, the perfect service that the ladies were able to offer to guests as well as the classic refuge atmosphere. But... there is a but... we ordered the appetizer which was literally inedible due to how salty it was. Having said this, we were told with a smile that the chef had decided to add more salt. Now, I understand the atmosphere, I understand everything but whoever is in the kitchen MUST know what they send out even if it is a "refuge". That said, excellent wild boar and average homemade desserts. Bulk wine: you can definitely do better.

Very nice refuge in a strategic position a few steps from a wonderful viewpoint where you can admire Lake Maggiore. The strong point of the refuge is the polenta, very good, and the price, I would say honest! Very kind, friendly and welcoming staff!

Wonderful experience, breathtaking view from the small lookout over Lake Maggiore. Excellent food, very friendly and hospitable managers.

Arrivato in anticipo e senza prenotazione dopo escursione ai Pizzoni di Laveno, mi hanno fatto accomodare e servito lo stesso. Tagliere di formaggi e salumi (avrei preferito polenta e brasato ma la cucina era ancora chiusa) e torta di pane fatta in casa. Cibo buono, personale cortese, prezzi onesti. Attenzione perché carte e bancomat non sempre funzionano.

What a beautiful place and what a hospitable landlady. Even though we only understand very little Italian, the lady knew how to offer us such beautiful dishes. Everything was very tasty and the more than friendly service combined with this beautiful place will remain in our memories for a long time. So thank you very much for that.
