The most beautiful refuge I've ever seen! I stayed in one of the themed rooms (Albero), simply gorgeous! A refuge? Oh, but so much more. Dahu and its caretaker, Beppe, allow you to feel, taste, and touch the fine Piedmontese culture like nowhere else. The food is exquisite, the Piedmontese wines are perfect. The Dahu's vast mountain culture always makes the stopover too brief. For the past seven or eight years, I've been stopping by the Dahu. We had lunch at this refuge before setting off on the hike to Lake San Bernolfo. What can I say? A wonderful experience all-around! The refuge is easily accessible by car and is located in a stunning natural setting with a cool stream and wide green meadows that disappear into the surrounding woods. As soon as you enter, the atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a well-maintained mountain refuge, respected by its owners. The staff is always friendly and helpful, whether recommending a dish or chatting about the history of the valley. We also really appreciated the refuge's idea of ​​providing post-it notes for guests to stick in the bathroom so they can leave a message for other travelers, and we obviously couldn't resist leaving one of our own, which we can't wait to find when we return. Add to all this the absolutely fair prices, generous portions, and amazingly high-quality dishes, and you have the perfect recipe to convince you to visit the Dahu refuge. You won't regret it.

The restaurant was recommended to us and we decided to make a reservation. The place isn't for everyone given the unique nature of the road, but anyone who's in the area is certainly familiar with mountain roads and shouldn't have any problems. In any case, the place is truly enchanting, and I plan to return for a full stay of a few days... the restaurant is located in a very characteristic and meticulously maintained mountain hut. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The dishes are traditional and plentiful. The wines are quality, and the craft beers are also worth trying (because of the drive, I had to opt for a good amber beer with a lower alcohol content than the wines available). An unforgettable experience and highly recommended. The prices are fair.
