It's a winding but well-maintained road that takes you to the summit. A magnificent view from a well-appointed terrace where food is served awaits you at the end. You can stay there and sleep. All around, a magnificent forest to discover.

Peaceful hut with an amazing view on Lago maggiore. The people working there are super nice and the homemade cakes they have are very good! Payments with card were no problem also for small amounts

Posto con vista mozzafiato, consiglio già per la vista. Sono stata con i miei amici per Pasquetta e abbiamo trascorso una giornata fantastica, cibo di ottima qualità e vino anche. Vorrei anche sottolineare la gentilezza e disponibilità del cameriere Giorgio Giornata top, super consigliato

01/08/2025: We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary. But also several other important dates. La Vecchia Riva never disappoints! Excellent food, top-quality ingredients, fantastic views, always attentive and friendly staff.... In short, highly recommended!
30/07/2025: I stayed at Vecchia Riva for 3 nights and was delighted with the warm welcome and kindness of the staff—a special thanks to Maria, always energetic and cheerful! The staff was very helpful in accommodating my gluten-free needs. A small suggestion: it would be great to have pre-cut fresh fruit for breakfast. The room was very clean and tidy, and everything worked perfectly. We also organized a family lunch, and on that occasion too, we appreciated the professionalism and courtesy of the service. It was truly wonderful to see so many young people at work, with enthusiasm and expertise!

23/06/2025: Very kind owner and welcomed us with a smile. He gave us a bowl and water for our 2 dogs. Excellent and quality food. Must try.
17/06/2025: I wandered in one morning and had one of the most enjoyable days ever. The place is beautiful and has wonderful outdoor seating in the garden, where I spent a pleasant afternoon reading one of the many books available for free. The manager was very kind. You can tell he cares about what he does and the quality of the food and service. I have never had a better experience in a bar before. I will remember this day for a long time. I highly recommend it.
