A refuge with a beautiful view of the Northern Grigna (Grignone) and Southern Grigna (Grignetta). The refuge's strong point, I'd say, is the food. The polenta with mushrooms and the cheese platter were excellent. I haven't seen the rooms, however. The location, however, isn't the best; there are no paths or meadows around, just a few tables and a small patch of meadow just below the refuge. The refuge is a little lower (about 70-80 meters in elevation, if I'm not mistaken) than the path that leads from Piani di Bobbio to Rifugio Grassi and Pizzo dei Tre Signori, from the fork just before Passo Del Toro. The path, however, is quite wide (recently widened) and suitable for families. I'm not sure what the path is like for ascending from below (Barzio or Introbio).

Highly recommended refuge where you can eat excellent pizzoccheri, risotto with sausage and beef stew with polenta. Excellent desserts. Very fast and kind service!

Ideal refuge for a break while walking. The tables are both outdoors and indoors. Good offer with typical specialties. The view is lovely and it is open all year round.

Exquisite lunch at very honest prices in a wonderful setting: outside the refuge a snow-covered and very silent panorama; inside, a warm and welcoming environment. Excellent pizzoccheri and risotto, delicious polenta and mushrooms, soft and fresh cakes. Lots of options for vegetarians, food certainly also suitable for children, despite not having a specific "children's menu" (I think the managers will understand what I mean). In conclusion, a highly recommended stop after the walk from the Bobbio plains, especially in winter

26/05/2025: Ottima cena con amici in questo grazioso è riservato ristorante. Coccolati dal personale abbiamo gustato un ottima cena, complimenti bravi a tutto lo staff.
03/05/2025: Prima esperienza in questo ristorante. Comodissimo parcheggio a pagamento proprio a fianco con uno graditissimo sconto del 50% offerto dal ristorante. Buona accoglienza in un locale semplice ma ben arredato. Valida tovaglieria e posateria. Buona carta, ma stretta sui secondi di mare. Uno in lista ed uno di proposta giornaliera. Entrambi sia il San Pietro al cartoccio ( troppo saporito e piccante il contorno cotto insieme) e lo Spada ( buono ma senza “emozione” anche di presentazione e con prezzo discutibile) , non ci hanno però entusiasmato. Più che meritevoli invece gli antipasti crudi. Ottimo il prodotto e ben varia e di quantità la pezzatura. Validissima la carta del buon bere, bollicine comprese. Buoni i dolci. Personale sempre attento e gentile. Migliorabile il rapporto qualità prezzo. Torneremo a provare i piatti di Terra.

31/07/2025: Nice location in a secluded area. Practical and spartan furnishings. Very thin-crust pizza with very little toppings of grilled, non-fresh vegetables. A disappointment! Not worth repeating.
