I stayed at this refuge for New Year's Eve and I have to say it met my expectations. Stunning view of the lake, excellent refuge menu, and excellent value. I absolutely recommend it!

I went yesterday for breakfast and also for lunch after returning from the hike. The homemade cakes are exceptional. The refuge manager was attentive and helpful.

Excellent trattoria serving Valtellina specialties, with simple and friendly service. It's about a half-hour walk from the restaurant, leaving your car (if there's parking) near the sign. I think it's best to park a few hairpin bends ahead and take a nice walk. Spectacular view of Lake Como upon arrival; it's worth it! I recommend booking on weekends.

Rifugio Bugone, just steps from Monte Bisbino, boasts an excellent panoramic view of the lake. The young, friendly, and welcoming owners offer traditional mountain refuge dishes and lower prices than other "baite" on Lake Como. Reservations are highly recommended!

Ricardo runs the refuge, and he's a charming man. The food is delicious; Ricardo cooks it himself. There's even homemade cake. The view is fantastic. It's simple, beautiful, and clean. Ricardo is warm and friendly. We felt welcome and comfortable.

16/01/2026: It's impossible not to love the place, the food, and the host! One of my favorite places.
29/12/2025: A "rustic" trattoria run by Morris (an original figure in the Como area's restaurant scene). The menu features a few tasty, well-prepared dishes. Generous portions. Quick and attentive service. Pleasant atmosphere. No house wine, but a wide selection for all tastes (let Morris guide you). Ample parking nearby. Highly recommended.
