Rifugio Bertacchi In Madesimo

Alpine refuge, reachable with about 1h 15 of walking (300m difference in altitude) from Stuetta. Hiking level, a short, slightly exposed stretch can create problems for those who suffer greatly from the void, but the path is always at least 1m wide. I only stopped to eat. Buckwheat ravioli with bitto, polenta with tomino and speck, tea, coffee and walnut and honey cake. Good, tasty, well cooked food. Around €35. Preferable to have cash: internet is not guaranteed. On busy days, lunch is served in two shifts, reservations are essential. Tables also outside, if the weather permits. Path and structure not accessible to disabled people. Friendly staff. About 50m lower there is Lake Emet, beautiful, also frequented by fishermen and numerous day trippers.

Easily accessible refuge. Despite the cold day, the dining room was not heated at all. Too bad, even the food was lukewarm (polenta with tomino and speck and buckwheat ravioli with Bitto). The portion of the first course was a little small.

From Monte Spluga they say it's a walk in the park, I don't think so. Decent cuisine

Refuge in an enchanting position, reached after a beautiful and not tiring walk. The refuge is very suggestive, eating outside at the tables was very nice. If the sun goes away you need a jacket immediately. The cockerel with onions or grilled was excellent, but the desserts are especially worth it: the local ricotta with honey and hazelnuts, the apple pie with amaretti biscuits, the Grisons walnut cake. Obviously it is a refuge and not a restaurant, and you have to understand this: there is no point in asking for an ice lolly or an espresso and then complaining that it isn't there; but I went twice, I ate very well, I relaxed and I have nothing to complain about. Run by a group of nice and kind guys.

Reached in the clouds and cold, it was truly a refuge for us also thanks to the warm welcome we received. Excellent lunch, appreciated the dessert with fresh ricotta. Kindness and admirable industriousness of the young staff who manage it with care and passion.

Small but well-kept refuge with friendly and truly welcoming operators. Area outside exposed to the wind but with beautiful areas. Great place inside. Careful service.

I just drank a coffee and used the bathroom... But there were a lot of people eating and they seemed satisfied!!! Beautiful place, nice easy walk and Lake Emet 🤩🤩

L'ubicazione del rifugio è spettacolare, loro sono gentili e si danno da fare. Il cibo è ben cucinato, forse un po' insipide le tagliatelle e la polenta. unico neo: pur comprendendo la difficoltà ad approvvigionarsi i prezzi forse potrebbero essere rivisti al ribasso, ma nel complesso è consigliato
