Rifugio Barma In Fontainemore

Stupendo rifugio che accosta lo stile di montagna con uno stile moderno. La vista sul lago è spettacolare. Menù tipico valdostano, con prezzi corretti per la qualità e la quantità che viene servita. Nota di merito alla polenta concia, la più buona che io abbia mai mangiato. Buonissimi anche gli gnocchi di pane e i dolci. Trattandosi di un rifugio, l'offerta del menù è davvero molto ampia. Il rifugio è molto grande, quindi in grado di ospitare numerosi coperti. Oltre al ristorante, offre anche la possibilità di pernottamento.

The Barma is a spectacular refuge, located on the route of the legendary Tor. During the first visit, starting from Fontainemore, the paths we followed to reach it were 2, 2D and 2C with a first stretch in the forests and a second rocky one up to the last ramps before the refuge plateau. There are two short, slightly exposed points equipped with a rope and comfortable metal handles, just pay attention especially if the rocks are wet. For the second visit we arrived from the Piedmont side of Oropa, simple and more rocky but equally panoramic. The structure is crazy, outside all in stone while inside in wood, stone and panoramic windows with hammocks. Very kind and welcoming staff, delicious cuisine on both occasions, if desired there are very comfortable rooms with private bathroom and shower. Breathtaking surroundings, splendid experience.

Wonderful discovery, the beautiful refuge in a nature reserve we spent one night and we will definitely return for the welcome and kindness of the staff, both the cuisine and the cleanliness were excellent, see you again soon☺️☺️

Tijdens het lopen van de Sentieri del Lys hebben we hier een overnachting gehad. Heel nieuw moderne berghut. Gastvrij en fijne sfeer. Fijne kamer, goede bedden en prima badkamer. De hangmat met mooi uitzicht was heerlijk om te relaxen. Het eten was goed, alleen de vegetarische gerechten mogen nog wel iets uitgebreider.

Lovely place, well looked after, good food. We recommend practicing the route on a dirt road from coumarial because the one indicated on the refuge website is particularly challenging. Beautiful experience
