A wonderful place for....everything!

We have been to Rifugio Barfè for lunch several times and it never disappoints... from the quality and goodness of the food to the very generous portions. Refuge in a fantastic location, helpful and kind owners, a new member recently arrived, the owners' big dog "Ada", very polite and good and very cuddly who brings a breath of joy! Excellent food with local products, welcoming, clean place, friendly and helpful owners.

We arrived after closing time, yet the owner saw us in the distance and took pity on us after a long and hard hike and stayed open. Kitchen was closed but we could still get some wine. He arrived with a cheese and salami plank for which we were very grateful so we still got some hike fuel for the return walk. Watch out, there is a very friendly and cute dog that will come and look innocent at you in the hope for some food. Do not give him it, not matter how sad he looks 🥹(as per the owners request), cute face is visible in the photos of this review. Wine was very good, as well as the salami and cheese. 5/5
