The path to the refuge is very winding and steep but definitely recommended. You can also stop to wet your feet in the stream

Refuge in a very beautiful valley, the valsaguigno. Excursions suitable for everyone with the possibility of wild camping. The advice in the good season is to bring food and eat it on the meadows on the river bank. Better to leave the refuge alone even if I didn't have a bad time, a little expensive but it's ok to carry food there and tiring, or use a helicopter.

We didn't eat at the refuge because the fee is €3 just to sit down, small but welcoming, from what I noticed a bit disorganized when it comes to the queue for the bathroom/cashier queue, but as it was mid-August there was really a lot people so I understand the difficulty in managing so many people, sign outside indicating the kitchen closed at 3.20pm, a bit limited as the mountain and the path are visited every hour, personally we didn't eat anything so for the quality of the food I can't judge!

Bella posizione di questo rifugio che si raggiunge dopo una bella passeggiata tra boschi e corso d'acqua bellissimo. I gestori sono gentili così come i ragazzi al servizio, ci siamo fermati x pranzo. Il cibo nulla di ché così come le porzioni dei piatti. Rapporto qualità prezzo insufficiente.

Refuge positioned in a magnificent location. Friendly welcome. The food was very good (especially the pesto pasta which was divine). The bathroom clean. Basic breakfast. Comfortable bedding. 55 euros half board, no complaints. I strongly advise you!

As soon as you arrive at the refuge, you cannot help but appreciate the position and the view. For the location you give 5 stars, but unfortunately the rest is a bit disappointing. I took polenta with braised meat, it was a very small and tasteless portion. Very disorganized managers and I didn't appreciate the way they attacked a customer who asked about his reservation. It's a shame because the place is worth it.
