This was an amazing place to stay while doing the Alta Via 1! The detour from the main trail was definitely worth it. A super quiet (yay!) rifugio with a very nice owner and amazing food!!! Clean and cozy room. Mine was above the kitchen, so there was some noise, but it didn’t bother me. I felt safe as a solo female. Highly recommend!

We only had dinner. The location was excellent at the foot of Mount Pelmo. The portions were generous and the food was excellent. Friendly staff.

We had a great experience at Rifugio Aquileia. The location is truly magnificent, overlooking Mount Pelmo. We went for dinner. The wait staff were very kind and friendly, and the food was delicious. For two starters, a main course, two cartons, two desserts, two glasses of red wine, and a beer, it cost €40 each.

By far the best stay on our trip. It adds some distance to the day’s trek, but it was worth it. The owner is an expert on the mountain, and there was some weather brewing for the next day. I heard him checking in with every guest at dinner to make sure they had a safe plan and to encourage them to be smart with the weather. Food was great. Most comfortable rooms on our journey. I would highly recommend.

Although a bit pricey, definitely worth it. The staff were welcoming and friendly and always explained everything. The room was cosy and the bed comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were both filling and delicious. Lastly, I left something at the rifugio and they sent me an email within twenty minutes so that I could get back to come get it, which I really appreciated. Definitely one of the best stays on Alta Via 1.

Excellent food! I ended up with a room and en-suite bathroom to myself as it was quiet which was quite the luxury. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything clean and very comfortable bed and bedding - best night sleep I had during my trip
