Rifugio Antonio Curò In Valbondione

Beautiful, not recommended for beginners or those like me who have decided to start walking again after years of stopping.

A beautiful refuge right in front of Lake Barbellino, reached by a two-and-a-half-hour hike from Valbondione. We had polenta with porcini mushrooms and roast beef for lunch, truly delicious: succulent meat, creamy polenta, and excellent local cheeses with an authentic flavor. The price was very reasonable (€25 per person) considering the quality and abundance. The location is spectacular and worth the effort of the climb. I will definitely return to try the overnight stay. Highly recommended for those who love the mountains, good food, and authentic views.

Today I had lunch at the refuge, compliments to the guys who run it, both quality and value for money are excellent, definitely among the 2 best refuges in the Orobie I've tried so far, congratulations again 👏👏👏

Nice place with a view of the lake, the food is delicious, it's a shame that adding mushrooms cost us as much as having ordered four first courses instead of two.

Trail 305, intermediate level. It was challenging for me, but I'm not in the slightest bit of training. Duration: about 2.5 hours, starting from Valbondione. As for the refuge, the food was good and prices were reasonable. They accept POS. The portions, in my opinion, were a bit small.
