A beautiful refuge right in front of Lake Barbellino, reached by a two-and-a-half-hour hike from Valbondione. We had polenta with porcini mushrooms and roast beef for lunch, truly delicious: succulent meat, creamy polenta, and excellent local cheeses with an authentic flavor. The price was very reasonable (€25 per person) considering the quality and abundance. The location is spectacular and worth the effort of the climb. I will definitely return to try the overnight stay. Highly recommended for those who love the mountains, good food, and authentic views.

Today I had lunch at the refuge, compliments to the guys who run it, both quality and value for money are excellent, definitely among the 2 best refuges in the Orobie I've tried so far, congratulations again 👏👏👏

Trail 305, intermediate level. It was challenging for me, but I'm not in the slightest bit of training. Duration: about 2.5 hours, starting from Valbondione. As for the refuge, the food was good and prices were reasonable. They accept POS. The portions, in my opinion, were a bit small.

12/10/2025: I celebrated a birthday with a group of friends at Tijuana restaurant, in the Borgo Santa Caterina neighborhood. The location, relatively close to the stadium, is convenient for those arriving by car thanks to readily available parking. The restaurant's interior is striking for its elegant and refined style, with extensive use of wood and large windows that create a warm and refined atmosphere. The extensive, meat-focused menu offers quality cuts such as fillet and rump, carefully cooked and beautifully presented. Although it's a restaurant designed for meat lovers, even a vegetarian friend of ours found satisfying options, a sign of good attention to variety. The service was discreet yet efficient, without any downtime or excessive waiting. Considering the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience, the price is reasonable. Overall, a restaurant recommended for those seeking a refined dinner in an elegant setting, also ideal for special occasions.

09/10/2025: A hidden gem in the heart of Bergamo. The place is located in a courtyard on one of the main streets of the city center. As soon as you enter, you'll find a counter full of delicious treats that I assure you will be eager to try. Depending on the season, you can find different types of cakes, both puff pastry and leavened. I chose a carrot and blueberry cake and a cinnamon roll. The cake was delicious, accompanied by a sauce and fresh blueberries. The cinnamon roll was light and had a nice cinnamon flavor. I would have loved to try it with its icing, which I think would have made it even better and more special. The place is beautifully decorated, and you feel pampered here, like you're in a tranquil haven, yet just outside the frenetic city—the perfect place for a break. I'd love to return to try other cake flavors, but especially for their lunch options.
28/09/2025: Called in here for a coffee with my wife whilst exploring Bergamo. Was pleasant enough and lovely to sit in the courtyard to have our drinks.
