The overall impression was very positive, more like a restaurant than a refuge. The appetizers were very good, and we ordered two main courses... it's a shame only one arrived because the other was forgotten and they didn't notice because they no longer cared about us! It's true that it was crowded, but if you want to be a restaurant, including restaurant prices, you have to organize yourself like a restaurant.

Excellent cuisine, always kind and helpful staff, fair prices, generous portions all in a warm and comfortable environment. Since we discovered this refuge we have been there several times this summer and will definitely continue to return.

Excellent and plentiful food. Excellent value for money. Tartare, pumpkin ravioli with toma cheese, braised beef with polenta, and venison with mashed potatoes. Highly recommended.

After 17 hairpin bends, lunch here is a fitting reward! We had lunch on the Saturday of the August bank holiday. The refuge was full but spacious, the wait was short, the dishes, food, and especially the presentation were worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Beautiful refuge with a great view. Convenient parking is 5 minutes away for those who don't want to make the effort. The only downside is a bit of a wait. The food was excellent and plentiful, making us forget the wait. We'll definitely be back.

Domenica a pranzo, locale ben arredato, facile parcheggio, location tranquilla e silenziosa. Ottima scelta dal menù, con prodotti tipici ed impiattamento fine e ricercato. Personale accogliente e simpatico. Da ripetere sicuramente.

24/10/2025: The perfect combination of wine, tasting menu, beautiful weather, and fantastic service. It turned into one of those afternoons where everything just felt right. The food kept coming, course after course, each one full of flavour and paired perfectly with the wines. This place has something special. It’s not only about what you eat and drink, but also how warmly you’re welcomed and how relaxed you feel. It’s not my first visit here, and every time it feels just as good as the last. Grazie e a presto! 🍷
21/10/2025: Beautiful place near Monforte d'Alba. But everything is very impersonal and rather superficial. The tasting menu is very good, but the service is rushed and you feel like a burden. Breakfast is very simple, and the service is reserved and lacks joy. They didn't explain what was on offer; you had to ask for everything yourself. The room is nice and comfortable, but the mattress is bad. Parking is available, but it's a lottery on weekends when the hotel is full with guests in the restaurant. No mention of this being a problem. The reception upon our arrival was also very cold. We didn't feel welcome and won't be coming again.

04/10/2025: What can I say... from business lunches to convivial dinners, you can literally feel at HOME here. The quality of the food is EXCELLENT: tradition, passion, and a touch of originality! I highly recommend the poached egg, simply exceptional, and the plin—they may be my favorites, but they're truly among the best in the area (and beyond!). Everything is prepared by Marina's expert hands, and then there's Rinaldo, a host from another era: capable of creating a consistently serene atmosphere, filled with smiles and authenticity. A small team capable of doing great things!
