Rifugio alla cascata In Vezza d'oglio

My expedition companions and I only used the winter shelter as a bivouac; in December, in the dead of winter and with 40 cm of snow, it's already too much. Obviously, the managed shelter was closed, but for hikers like us, the winter shelter is perfect. The location is enchanting.

We stopped here after a mountain activity. Spacious and warm atmosphere, fast service, and friendly staff. Prices are slightly high.

We stayed at this refuge to celebrate New Year's Eve and had a truly wonderful time! The food was plentiful and delicious, but the highlight was Simona and Daniele, who made us feel like family! We'll definitely be back!

Surrounded by greenery, just a stone's throw from the frozen waterfalls (in winter, of course), we were greeted by Simona and her smiling and friendly staff. The quality of the dishes was excellent (abundant and flavorful) at a great price. Their fig and Nebiolo ice cream is a MUST-try; a feast for the taste buds. Special mention goes to Simona, who patiently accommodated us (there were 32 of us). Special guest Noa, Simona's nephew, entertained us at the end of the meal by dancing "The Crocodile, How Does It?" surrounded by our daughters.

The atmosphere was welcoming and pleasant, the staff helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, since we didn't have a reservation, they went out of their way to accommodate us. The food and desserts were good, and the portions were sufficient to leave feeling energized for another trek.

A beautiful place where you feel welcomed, satisfied, and fulfilled!!! They welcome you with a warm smile that stays with you throughout the entire experience. Everything was excellent: the service, the quality and quantity of the food (what HUGE pieces of cheese!), and the bill. Plus, it's located in a very interesting location for excursions of various levels. Well done!
