A family Sunday... This is what my partner and I spent yesterday in this magical little corner. It was our first time, but with the owners, it was as if we had known each other for years. Hospitality, friendliness, and a very characteristic atmosphere. The food? Well, even though we had just had breakfast, we didn't miss a thing, from the superlative appetizer (made with quality products), to the homemade pasta with flavorful yet delicate wild boar ragù, to the Roman braciola. And then what do you do? Not having a dessert? That amaretto semifreddo... truly TOP. We'll make sure to be in the area some other time, because we know where to stop. See you soon

This is a strange review... So I'm giving it a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ instead of a 3 or 5 for a few reasons. The place is very small, but precisely for that reason, it's a delightful little gem. Decorated with recycled items, which make it warm and friendly. The menu, however, is a bit limited due to the limited space, as is the wine selection, but hey, who's satisfied? We ordered BRUSCHETTE with Porcini Mushrooms, GOOD!! Two first courses... served in cute little pans. Mine was good, although the wild boar was a bit dry. My partner's was too garlicky, and she was forced to leave it (what a shame 😞) Few seats and very reasonable prices. The property is pleasant. The rating is therefore a combination of all these features, which obviously cannot compare it to a restaurant with 100 seats and a large kitchen or spacious wine bar. I found this place after some research, having chosen it instinctively, working in the restaurant business and looking for quiet places away from the chaos, on my day off. What can I say? We had a wonderful, relaxed time, carefully served, and the food was delicious. Danilo and his wife were excellent at welcoming and cooking, a real gem in Genzano, a place to return to with pleasure, you eat really well and have a great time. I recommend it to everyone. Top, well done.

The flavors of home, you feel enveloped in a family warmth that never leaves you and always resurfaces in the memory of a meal at this wonderful trattoria. Get there on foot, strolling along Via dell'Infiorata all the way up, behind the church. 🫶🏽

A typical Roman trattoria in the village of Genzano overlooking the lake. Visited on Sunday, November 3rd. The owners take care of the kitchen and table service. It seats only 18, making it an intimate and welcoming place. Excellent traditional local dishes. Recommended.

I called at 2 pm for a very late lunch and that's where I discovered Danilo's restaurant. It's a wonderful location, amazing food, and truly friendly, homely service. We'll be back soon.

Location is very cute. Two of us stopped to get a quick aperitivo before dinner. So ordered house wine and their antipasto plate. Cute kittens that entertained us. When the bill came, it was a surprise to us that they charged us for two portions of antipasto, at 15 euros each. Plus the half liter of house red. I think we both paid 22 euros. Both agreed we didn’t like this practice and would not return because of it. They are Italians and they knew that we just wanted a drink and something small to eat. So charging us both felt like they were taking advantage of us. It’s too bad because we both thought it was cute and thought we might return in the future.
