A place that's an institution... Their "arancino arricciato" is a must! Excellent for a business lunch, a sunset aperitif, or an evening by the sea just steps from the city center.

Unfortunately, I didn't like the granitas; they were mostly ice, and the brioches were a bit hard and mediocre in flavor. Also, there was no cream left, which is a shame because when making granitas, you generally expect a high demand for cream. Regardless, the service is fast, and the waiter is generally friendly. The place has a beautiful view of the Strait of Messina and even has private parking. Prices are average. I recommend it, but only if they improve the granitas. Maybe it's not their season yet? Who knows, too bad.

If you have an hour to kill at Messina, walk over the railway bridge and you'll find this lovely bistro with spectacular sea views. After a week of Sicilian food, what a delight to taste "real" wholemeal bread again, fresh salmon, apple, red cabbage, salad, etc. Washed down with fresh juice. English menu accessed via qr code on your table. Cute kids playground next door too.
