Restaurant Zum Engel In Vipiteno

We booked three nights with breakfast in a junior suite. The room was spacious, rustic-modern, very clean, and had a balcony with a mountain view (see photo). The room service was excellent, and the chambermaid was very friendly. We really liked the wellness area with its pool, sauna, and relaxation rooms. It's a great place to spend the whole day (in bad weather). We also highly recommend the aromatherapy massage at a private spa. The breakfast buffet was quite generous, although we would have appreciated vegan options and a bit more vegetables. We can only give a limited rating to the lunch and dinner menu, as we only had a leaf salad once for lunch. We didn't eat there because the menu was too meat-heavy for us and there were few to no vegan/vegetarian options. The service was mixed. There were very friendly and courteous staff, but some were also a bit reserved and stressed. Our chambermaid was the friendliest. Overall, we felt very comfortable at the hotel and can recommend it. Addendum June 1, 2025: We were there for the third time last weekend (this time in the Fugger Suite). We were welcomed as regular guests via automatic email notification. However, we didn't notice this on site. Furthermore, when booking via the hotel's website, we indicated that this was our honeymoon. Unfortunately, this was not taken into account. It's a shame, as we otherwise feel quite comfortable at the Hotel Engelspark.

We've been absolutely thrilled with the hotel, the service, and the wellness area every time we've been. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, and every course at dinner is also exceptional. We also particularly like the salad buffet. We've used the gym around the corner almost every day and think it's a great option! Sterzing's city center is a short walk away, and the train station is also within walking distance. With the Sterzing active card, you can travel to places like Bolzano for free (definitely worth a day trip). We've already booked again for next year!

The second visit was great again. Friendly team. Very good food. A beautifully designed and maintained wellness area. The location is a bit away from the old town with a 15 minute walk. The price-performance ratio is good, especially in high season.

We were there with friends and the reception was very pleasant right from the start. The rooms were ready ahead of schedule and we were given a welcome drink while our registration was completed. The wellness area is very attractive and clean. There is enough choice at breakfast and dinner so that everyone can find something and be satisfied. The food is high quality and delicious. The staff, whether reception, restaurant or bar, is really top. It was our first stay, but we would like to come back.

Wonderful hotel with very attentive and friendly staff...very service-oriented from the first contact by phone...nice and clean hotel rooms...you really want to spend more time here than (unfortunately) just 1 night...thank you very much to the whole team

As a young family we stayed at the Wellness Hotel Engels Park. Yes, Vipiteno is probably not the greatest place that you might imagine when you think of South Tyrol, but there is still a lot to see on site or nearby. As far as the Hotel Engels Park is concerned, I can only report positive things. Admittedly, the room could have been a bit larger (especially because they charged €15 per day for our young man, who was under 2 years old), but overall it was fine and we could have opted for a larger category. What was actually much more important was the warm hospitality that we were able to experience. In no situation did we feel like having a small baby was too much. We actually didn't have any wish unfulfilled - at least we would have to take a lot of time to find this wish. From the room staff to the service staff to the reception, we were treated in a friendly and courteous manner without exception. For us in general, but also as a young family, it was a really great experience and would be recommended to everyone!

Excellent hotel! Clean rooms, good buffet breakfast, good restaurant and very kind and professional staff! The only thing we had was the room with a view of the cemetery…

Great location!! We were pampered by all the staff. The kind and professional lady Veronika provided us with all the information on how to visit the area. Excellent food and impeccable service Sigrid and Priska met all our expectations very professional and super kind. Very clean room, Fernanda was nice and available. The only inconvenience I found was that the pool water was too cold.
