Restaurant Sotriffer & Wine Bar In Castelrotto

I was blown away with one of the best Tagliolini with truffle. The place had great food, amazing servers and a beautiful ambience. It’s a bit tough to get to if you are parking your car on the other side of the road but don’t miss this place just for this silly reason. We also had some good Pinot Grigio and loved the collection. Indeed a five rating for a great experience as a tourist. Will come again!

This is the best restaurant we have been to in northern italy. We were lucky enough to dine 2 nights in a row. The staff and food are both amazing. If you are reading this - then go.

There’s a point in every good holiday when a place stops being somewhere you’re visiting and starts being somewhere you’ll miss. Dinner here was that point for us. The four of us arrived tired from the mountains and were looked after by Ghassen, slicked-back hair, quietly confident, clearly knows his wine list. We asked for a recommendation and he picked a red that suited both the food and the evening. The food was genuinely impressive. Pappardelle with real depth. Tagliatelle cooked properly al dente, tender and full of flavour. Lamb done exactly right, with a zucchini flower fried so delicately it shattered. And a creamy truffle, leek and potato soup that was exactly what you want after a day in the Dolomites. The detail I’ll remember most, though: one of us wanted the kids’ bolognese, and rather than a polite no, the kitchen simply made it a main. No fuss, just yes. Small things like that tell you a lot about how a place is run. At dessert, Rocco took over with the same easy warmth. When we mentioned wanting to thank our waiter properly, he wrote Ghassen’s name down for us so we’d get it right in this review. A team that looks out for each other like that says something about the culture here. Great food, a well-chosen wine, and service with genuine heart. Five stars, and we’d happily be back.

We spontaneously decided to have lunch at this lovely restaurant and received a very warm welcome. The quality of the food is truly excellent, and the portion sizes, especially the pasta, justify the price. The wine selection and advice are also worth mentioning. Highly recommended!

My husband and I were blown away by the food and service at Sotriffer. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The service was warm and attentive, and the food was exceptional. You can tell so much care and intention goes into every single dish. The deconstructed apple strudel was incredible as well as the sheep’s milk ricotta- the flavors worked together so seamlessly. My husband and I left feeling so taken care of. They didn’t miss a single detail. When I will recommend everyone to dine at this restaurant.

Nice restaurant in this town with good food and wine options. They don’t have much vegetarians option but they made one pasta for us.

Really liked the food and atmosphere, will come back.
