I was fully satisfied with the dinner at this restaurant.
The service was very friendly, I really appreciated the waiters' advice on combinations of sauces and dishes.
The environment is beautiful and pleasant, and does not become excessively chaotic even at full capacity.
The food was really good, I appreciated the well-balanced flavors without excess, and none of the dishes I tried were heavy. The prawn balls are absolutely fabulous, the main pho is delicious, the vegetarian one is excellent and the chicken curry and coconut and the fresh rolls are delicious. The only thing I wouldn't take back is the dessert, which wasn't bad anyway.
The two of us, taking these things plus a water and a white rice, spent 60 in total, which seems average in Rome for what we ate.
I absolutely want to come back!
Update: I came back and also tried the fettuccine with prawns, these were also delicious!

We had dinner here after numerous recommendations from friends who highly recommended it to us and we were not disappointed.
Good food, nice dishes.
We opted for the tasting menu (one for two) and to have a more complete vision of Vietnamese food we took 3 other dishes that were recommended to us, all delicious!
Each dish was also explained to us in detail to make the experience even more complete and let us know Vietnam at 360 degrees.
We will definitely be back.
We recommend relying on the staff to have a complete vision and above all: Vietnamese and sweet coffee!

We were offered a menu that ended up being long and heavy.
Perhaps this is why the overall experience was not positive.
Some dishes convinced us (fresh spring rolls) others, like duck or pork, definitely not.
There was no Vietnamese beer.

A particular but very pleasant experience, kind staff who helped us a lot in explaining the dishes and which sauces to use with them, which is absolutely not a given and of fundamental importance for those like us who had never tried Vietnamese cuisine.
I had read some criticisms on the quality/price ratio but I have to strongly disagree, we found excellent quality, generous portions at a fair price
We will certainly return to experiment with other dishes

Close your eyes, listen to the voice of the host and you will think you are in Testaccio in a trattoria where rigatoni alla carbonara and puntarelle alternate. Once you open your eyes again, the voice will always be the same but on the dishes you will find all the tradition of Vietnamese cuisine. Surprise for those who do not know it, certainty for those who never betray. Mekong is to be tried and re-tried, guided by the magic wand of that host, Pino, who with his Romhana passion (the H is for Hanoi) makes everything more special. Come on!

Crossing the threshold of the Mekong restaurant is like taking an instant trip to the heart of Vietnam. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with soft lights, wooden furnishings and delicate decorations that recall Vietnamese culture. The intoxicating scent of spices and aromatic herbs tickles the sense of smell, preparing the palate for an unforgettable experience. The manager is a true host: kind, thoughtful and always ready to recommend the best dishes. His passion for Vietnamese cuisine is contagious and shines through in his every word. And what about food? Simply sublime! Each dish is prepared with the freshest, high-quality ingredients, enhancing the authentic flavors of Vietnamese tradition. The “gỏi cuốn” (spring rolls) are light and delicate, the “phở bò” (beef noodle soup) is rich and comforting, and the “cà ri gà” (chicken curry) is an explosion of exotic flavours. The care in the presentation of the dishes is a further touch of class, which makes each course a small masterpiece. And finally, you can't help but taste the "chè chuối", a traditional dessert made with bananas and coconut milk, a true delight for the palate. The Mekong restaurant is a complete sensory experience, a place where delicious food combines with a welcoming atmosphere and the kindness of the staff. A true jewel of Vietnamese cuisine, absolutely worth trying.

We ate there last night and had a great time.
Each dish was accompanied by a short introduction on how to eat it and the owner stops to tell you little portions of Vietnamese life and history related to food when he can.
Highly recommended!

Profumi e sapori assolutamente straordinari, nuovi e deliziosi.
