The last day of 2025 was the last day of operation for the Goldener Loewe. A heartfelt thank you goes to Didi, his family, and his staff...and we look forward to a new initiative that can once again become a point of reference for Monguelfo.... The quality I've always associated with Didi and his team is: hospitality. The hospitality was further supported by the restaurant offerings, the choice of recipes, and the simple, traditional flavors and tastes. Tradition needs to be reinterpreted, but it is a distinctive feature of this land and, more broadly, of all the lands of Italy, which give strength to diversity... I hope Monguelfo continues to maintain its own identity... without becoming overcrowded with tourism and easy profits... and maintaining the balance between the Dolomites' environment and the woods, the animals, and the people. This is the beauty I've always found here. It's a welcome refuge; when time is short or we arrive at the last minute, we've always found a solution with traditional dishes and delicious flavors. Last Thursday we chose risotto with mushrooms, chanterelles, and porcini mushrooms... and the positive opinion was unanimous.

Excellent location for a quick lunch while cycling or if you're in the city. The welcome was very friendly and the dishes were tasty.

What can I say... South Tyrolean cuisine has its own unique appeal, with aromas and flavors that delight even the most discerning palate. A great location for a healthy and enjoyable summer evening.

A very welcoming and quiet restaurant. Very good dishes. Tagliatelle with venison sauce, polenta with melted mountain cheese and mushrooms, large beer, water, coffee, and hay grappa. The prices are in line with the generous portions and excellent product quality.

Excellent and traditional location

We had lunch here by chance; it was the only place open. They directed us to the restaurant next door, which they also own. The location is nice and formal, the food is good but nothing exciting, and the portions are small. Quite expensive.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance...and I have to say we'll definitely be back!!! I think I've had the best polenta with melted cheese ever!

Everything was good except for the ending. The food was excellent, both in quality and quantity. Excellent value for money. Too bad... after we finished our main course, you forgot about us. My girlfriend and I were having dinner, and after clearing our plates, they ignored us... and we were inside, facing the main balcony. We wish we had a dessert menu so we could choose. After 20 minutes, we left. I'm sorry, I would have given you 5 stars.
