Once you have read the book about the journey of the elephant, you definitely have to be a guest in this historic hotel at least once. Without any kitsch, you can immerse yourself in the time of the Habsburg Monarchy. The owner family and the team of employees deserve praise and recognition!

The hotel provides such an interesting and beautiful experience. The decor and art inside are exceptional. The pool and the grounds, garden are gorgeous. Breakfast fabulous. Why 4 stars for service ? When you arrive tired and walk to the room and there is no water offered except the one you need to buy for 5 euro... Unacceptable. At this price i expect water and a Nespresso machine at a hotel. But maybe its a thing in the area: you get lots at 120 euro/night places but nothing when you pay 300. Also, a fan in the room would be good. It was 36 C and it was a bit stuffy.

The Hotel Elephant is an upscale four star hotel in the city center of Brixen. The city center is very easy to reach on foot from here. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The breakfast offered is good and rich and worthy of a four star hotel. It can also be taken on the hotel's own balcony. The hotel has a small park in which there is also a small pool for free use. In the park you can beat the heat of the day in the shade of trees. The hotel is located in a historic building. Nevertheless, the furnishings in my single room were a little too old and plush for me. The bathroom had a bathtub and also a bidet. What bothered me was the lack of air conditioning in the hot summer temperatures. When I opened the windows I was allowed to listen to the beats from a nearby enoteca until 1am. The hotel is also noisy and only quietens down late, also due to its own restaurant. There are free parking spaces behind the hotel,

Very beautiful and elegant hotel with history! Exceptionally friendly and courteous staff! Very good food and super central and yet very quiet with its own park and pool! Definitely recommended!
