Ansitz Heufler is a beautifully reimagined 16th-century Alpine manor in the Anterselva Valley, part of chef Niederkofler's Cook the Mountain world, offered here as a quieter, more intimate expression. We stayed one night, and it was one of the most complete hospitality experiences of our trip. Communication before arrival was clear, efficient, and genuinely warm, and a complimentary shuttle to and from Atelier Moessmer made the whole day seamless. From the moment we arrived, the team delivered at a high level, with the kind of attentiveness that never feels performative. The room was generous and beautifully resolved, with original timber beams overhead, wide plank floors, and a rainfall shower that deserves its own mention. The stube and dining spaces are something else entirely: dark walls, vaulted stone ceilings, antique wood, and candlelight. History worn with real confidence. In the evening we settled onto the terrace as the sun dropped behind the mountains, working through the drinks menu until nearly ten. A new-to-us alpine amaro was a highlight of an already strong beverage selection, paired with a spread of local charcuterie, cheese, rye breads, and house-made crackers that was exactly right. The next morning brought a sunrise run on the trail just minutes from the property, one of the most beautiful stretches I have run all year, followed by breakfast on the terrace done properly: house granola, mountain yogurt with redcurrants, local speck, homemade cakes, jams and juices, all with the valley spread out ahead. There's even a gourmet grocery just across the street. Highly recommend Ansitz Heufler for anyone looking for an intimate, deeply considered Alpine stay.

We were out for dinner, so we can't comment on the rooms. We opted for the set menu, which was excellent in every course. The service was superb (waiters, sommelier). We'll definitely be back!

We had dinners at the Ansitz Heufler in Antholz-Anterselva. The location is wonderful! Food is excellent and can be enjoyed in a very relaxed environment. The little bar is very cozy and the staff knows how to mix drinks :). Staff is very attentive and kind. We were taken care of by Bernardino, who has a fab sense of humor and serves the guests with a great smile. We can only recommend to visit the Ansitz Heufler and I will definitively be back, when I return for the Biathlon World Cup next year. Happy days! PS: cannot judge the rooms, as we were staying in a different hotel. But on the website the rooms look very nice!

During our week-long vacation, we had the pleasure of dining and having breakfast several times at Ansitz Heufler. We were greeted with great kindness by the entire staff, especially Berry, who accompanied us with professionalism and great attention. The recommended dishes and wines are particularly worthwhile. The Renaissance stube (traditional parlors) are a true highlight and are worth a visit in and of themselves. The ambiance is enchanting and makes for a unique culinary experience. A place to return to, for its atmosphere and beauty. A place to return to, because the food is truly good. The wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. A special mention goes to Benny, who was able to recommend the various dishes on the menu with professionalism, helpfulness, and a delightful charm.

My family and I came for the Olympic biathlon event down the road and stayed for 6 nights. We loved it! The hotel is tucked away in a quaint village with fantastic mountain views all around. It is in an old building from the 1500’s that has a lot of character and beautiful woodwork throughout. They did great job of updating it with modern amenities while maintaining the historic charm…the rooms are clean and comfortable. Inside there is a restaurant/bar that serves breakfast and dinner. The breakfast platter is HUGE with all sorts of things from cakes, bread, jam, granola, etc. all of which is of high quality. The dinner restaurant is great as well…the risotto in particular was the best I have ever had. Most of all, the employees are what made the stay so memorable. We had a big group and they went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed at all times. We had an awesome experience and I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. 10/10!

Wonderful, simple, and elegant rooms. The breakfast was prepared with great attention to detail and meticulous care in the selection of products! The drinks, served in the ambiance of the "old smokehouse kitchen," are also of a high standard and offer excellent value for money. We'd love to come back – next time for dinner too!
