Truly beautiful hotel in a strategic position to visit the entire Pusteria valley and neighboring valleys. The atmosphere in the hotel is very relaxing and the bistro is of an exceptional standard. Ate very well.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple nights as part of our honeymoon travels. We could not recommend this hotel enough! First, Carmen, one of the owners and our host, is just lovely. She really made us feel taken care of. It felt as if we were staying at a relatives house in a way because she was so attentive to us and eager to please. She goes above and beyond and we couldn’t have asked for a better host. Second, the hotel itself is beautiful and rich with history. The different rooms are fun to explore and the room we stayed in was clean and had all the modern amenities you could want. Third, the area the hotel is in, while rural, has tons of options for those who enjoy hiking, natural lakes, or want to look for activities to do such as archery, zip lining, etc. The hotel itself offers some really interesting courses throughout the year such as book binding or cooking. The hotel itself has a lovely little bar if you want to get a cocktail before going out or before bed. Finally, one of my favorite parts of staying here was the food. All of the food we had was local, fresh, and delicious. The breakfast we had here was some of the best breakfast we ever had. If you like local meats or cheeses, this place is for you. The local apple juice we had was the best apple juice we ever had and I don’t even like apple juice! Overall, I could not recommend this hotel enough for anyone who enjoys history, or wants a wonderful vacation experience.

We stayed here for 3 nights over the new year. Fantastic hospitality by Luigi and Carmen. Upon arrival, they gave us a tour of the 500 year-old castle. It is clear how dedicated they have been towards preserving the history of the building. The utmost care has also been taken to showcase the best of South Tyrol with high quality produce for food and drinks. The NY eve dinner was also exquisite, with dishes being prepared by a local home cook. The hotel is also well-located, with proximity to downhill and Nordic skiing. All in all a wonderful and memorable experience.

My wife and I were 26 years old when we stayed here in September 1977. It was a perfect place for a young romantic couple. It was the first time we experienced a down comforter. When we woke up in the morning, there had been a light snow and the cows with bells on their necks woke us up. This place is still in our hearts

The facilities are excellent. It has been beautifully preserved as it was in the past. The water area had been renovated and there was floor heating, so it didn't feel old at all. They kindly offered to make a reservation for dinner at a nearby recommended restaurant, but it was closed. There's only a knob, but if you'd like, you can eat it at our bar. This was the best. I was impressed by the food that can only be found in this area. Both the wife and husband were friendly and their English was easy to understand.

The most beautiful and incredible hotel/event space in the area. The staff goes above and beyond for you and are such kind people. I will definitely be back!

Our stay at Ansitz Heufler was exceptional. This luxurious mansion, dating back centuries, offered a warm and welcoming atmosphere thanks to hosts Carmen and Luigi, who made us feel right at home. The serene ambience and unique stube added charm, while the bar provided an intimate dining experience. Chef Francesco from Puglia delivered authentic and delightful meals that were truly memorable. The hotel’s standards are top-notch, and the tranquil outdoor setting enhanced our relaxation. We would definitely return to this beautiful retreat again!

Fantastic experience, Hotel in a wonderful valley in a tiny village. The structure is a perfectly renovated Renaissance castle while maintaining original rooms especially in the common areas. Very kind owners, the hotel offers a bistro with typical cutting boards and a bar in the old smokehouse. We were lucky enough to stay at the same time as two special evenings with a chef who presented particular cured meats and legumes (as well as delicious oil of his own production) with very accessible and absolutely delicious prices, the owners told us that they usually host evenings of this type so ask when booking. Spotlessly clean rooms with all comforts, phenomenal bathroom. Delicious breakfast with typical products and homemade desserts. In general, I highly recommend the structure, the price is very adequate for the offer, the experience of sleeping in an original castle is wonderful.

We had my daughters wedding reception here a few days ago and it was amazing!!! The location was breathtaking!! The views were amazing!!! The food was the best!!!! And the staff was unbelievably awesome!!! Top notch location!!!! Highly recommend!!! I would live to return here the next time I'm in Italy!!!!

Our experience at ansitz heufler was nothing short of amazing. After we checked in and after a lovely tour from our host Carmen, I told my partner that i’ve never been more wowed by an accommodation. First, the rooms and facilities. This is truly historic accommodation, beautifully renovated with modern furnishings and comfort. There is even a bar, reading stube, everything is absolutely GORGEOUS and the View is amazing too! A history lover’s dream! Next, the hosts. Luigi and Carmen are fantastic hosts. Carmen introduced us to the best ways to appreciate South Tyrol culture, from the food and wine to the best nature spots. We tried a restaurant she recommended and it was so good that we went back the next night. At night, we went out stargazing and Luigi brought us blankets in the cold. Breakfast was fresh and amazing as well. Please do yourself a favour and stay here! Thank you Carmen and Luigi for being the best hosts and making our stay a perfect one :-)
