The food is excellent, especially the artichokes and the carbonara. The service is good, but the place is a bit small and we found it a little uncomfortable. It's important to make a reservation.

We took a wonderful recommendation to go to Renato e Luisa’s. It did NOT disappoint. The food was amazing with the best pasta carbonara we have ever had. The fish artichoke and cheese appetizer was top notch and the goat cheese walnut and honey made us crave seconds. Even though a very large party arrived just after us and we became concerned the staff ensured we as only two felt just as important as the party of 2 dozen. HAD TO COME BACK ONE MORE TIME. The food remained extremely too notch. The starting lemon and fish was mouth watering. The appetizer (prosciutto and burrata melted in your mouth) and the pasta with allegi was special. Absolutely a perfect mix of fresh fish, cheese, perfectly cooked pasta and beautiful tomatoes. Just when I thought it was a great first visit the second visit was even better. Now saved as a must go to visit every time I am in Rome!!!! Thank you. Stefano made the night simple and enjoyable and made superb recommendations on the daily specials. It felt like home.

A food experience. Incredible flavors, great service that will take care of you and advise you. It's best not to look at the menu and ask what to eat. Different from the restaurants we've visited, with an Italian atmosphere. A great place, highly recommended. We'll be back!

The best pasta or the best tiramisu in Italy? We booked a table for dinner after a recommendation by a Roman friend. For antipasti we had the cheese pralines with honey and fiori di zucca. Both were really good, with the latter standing out in particular. For Primi we had the Carbonara, Cacio e pepe and Frascarelli tartufati. All pasta dishes were spotless and we enjoyed them tremendously. The desserts were the weak part of the meal. We had the tiramisu, which was more of a pudding, and the crème brûlé with orange, which was aesthetic but not impressive. So, going back to the question at the beginning - it was our best pasta during the trip, but definitely not the best dessert. For drinks we had the S. Rocco ripasso valpolicella which was excellent. Service was kind and atmosphere was warm and pleasant, with mostly Roman guests rather than tourists.

Amazing lunch! The lamb was incredibly tender, the stew was extraordinary. The artichoke alla giudia was perfectly cooked. The puntarelle and chicory were top notch. The amatriciana was delicious! Finished with an exceptional tiramisu (pictured) filled with mascarpone cream!! A unanimous vote from 6 people. We already know we'll be back soon!! Congratulations!!

Excellent quality food, beautifully prepared and presented, small restaurant. I will definitely be back to try other dishes.
