The food is served in a nice way but the tastes are not very striking, the disappointing Milanese risotto looked like leftover rice and then made into a crust, not the real Milanese risotto, the fish lasagne menu of the day was good, the carbonara ravioli was good...

Good breakfast, but a little expensive for this establishment, the croissants were terrible, which was strange for me, since we are in Italy. On the plus side, pleasant staff.

Pasticceria Tre Chicchere

08/05/2025: Nice coffee shop at via Boltraffio 12…
23/04/2025: A small pastry shop in the Isola area of Milan that I had been eyeing for more than a year, but which I only had the chance to try today. And I can say that it was definitely worth it, even after a long time. The place has a vintage aesthetic, simple but effective, which together with the delicate lighting makes everything extremely homely in a very good sense. It really feels like entering your own space, to which you have always belonged without having yet explored it. The selection of baked goods is very varied, and different from what is usually offered by standard pastry shops. I really appreciated the flaking of both the croissant and the swirl: full of butter but without exaggerating. I also liked a detail that many might find banal: specifying that the pistachio cream is made of white chocolate and pistachio; Usually no one does it, even if it's obvious from the taste. In my opinion, in fact, we should always be completely transparent about it, even if it may seem trivial. An excellent topping, as was the one with chocolate and sweet pears; a perfect mix. I was less convinced by the vegan cinnamon roll, soft but too spicy for my personal taste. Also including cardamom and maybe something else, in my opinion, adds nothing and actually risks taking away the importance of cinnamon, which should be the protagonist of this product. I didn't even positively evaluate the business's decision to also charge its customers for the service. Certainly this is a small request, considering that it is only 50 cents per person, but the gesture itself seemed to me a symptom of smallness in a figurative sense. I already find no excuse for nationally and internationally famous names in pastry making when they make decisions like this; let alone if it is an activity with a much more limited reputation like this one. The chai latte, however, was excellent, although I have tried more full-bodied ones elsewhere. Unfortunately, the prices are the same as any other pastry shop that offers particular products, so I'm not surprised. However, I'm glad I gave it a chance, because it was a more pleasant experience than anything else.
